The
Experience

You’re almost at the bottom of the town, near the river and the bridge. Elaine’s terraced Georgian cottage is spotless and cosy; her office doubles as a sitting area for guests with leather armchairs, TV and a desk space for workaholics. Upstairs are two good-sized doubles with a country crisp feel, king-size beds and a pretty blue and white bathroom. Walkers, shoppers, antique- and book-hunters can fill up on a superb breakfast of homemade potato scones, black pudding, organic eggs and good coffee before striding out to explore. This is excellent value, comfortable B&B and can be enjoyed without a car.

Reviews

From the moment the door was opened by Elaine and Sandy we felt 'at home'. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we'd forgotten our car registration and Sandy walked up the road to sort out the parking for us! Our bedroom, sitting room and bathroom were clean and simply, but elegantly furnished. They were able to recommend places to eat, visit and walks around Ludlow. Elaine's breakfasts were superb and we really felt set up for the day. We would not hesitate in returning to this lovely B&B, close to the centre of town and with wonderful hosts.

From the moment we were so warmly welcomed by Elaine and Sandy we were made to feel so 'at home'. THE place to stay if visiting the Ludlow area - very comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, your own sitting room, everything you could possibly wish for - it was so good we went back for another night.

Mary, Aylesbury

Elaine & Sandy made us feel very welcome. Beautiful house and fabulous breakfast. We had a lovely time. Spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Many thanks.

Loraine, Carmarthen

A most agreeable and comfortable place to say and a very warm welcome from our hosts.

Second visit to this wonderful bed and breakfast; we stayed briefly 2 years ago and have been waiting for an opportunity to return - this time a 3 night break and the Magnalonga walk; Elaine and Sandy are great hosts - a warm genuine couple who make you feel at home as soon as the front door is first opened; you feel totally relaxed and welcome in a beautiful home - a really comfortable bedroom with a study area where you can relax/read before going out to one of many local places for dinner. Well placed for exploring Ludlow - after enjoying one of Elaine and Sandy's top quality breakfasts!

Linda, Southport

Elaine and Sandy are wonderful hosts. They were very welcoming and were able to advise us on places to go and restaurants to eat it. After our two night stay we felt we had been staying with friends! The house is lovely and the room we stayed in was very comfortable with all the amenities you could need including a tea tray with fresh milk and biscuits. The breakfasts were delicious with Elaine's courgette and feta fritters as well as the usual full English. We were well set up for the day! All in all a lovely place and we hope to be back soon.

Sarah, London

Elaine and Sandy were extremely welcoming in their lovely historic cottage. They couldn't have been more helpful and it was possibly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I would definitely recommend staying there and intend returning very soon.

Enchanting house in one of the prettiest streets in Ludlow - flower-lined and close to the river. Elaine and Sandy are wonderful hosts - so friendly and helpful. They both went out of their way to make us welcome. Sandy even came to rescue us after a long walk on the Mortimer Trail when we missed a bus. Breakfasts really really gorgeous. And there is a fabulous blue Burmese, Milly.

Jane, London

Sweet B and B, lovely position in a great English Street, very hospitable owners who could not do more for us, free overnight parking nearby. Lovely interesting cottage patio style garden - obviously has taken a lot of thought and care over the years. Ludlow a very easy place to enjoy oneself

James, Warkworth

Just perfect! Such generous hosts, such comfortable accommodation, and such a wonderful location. Amazing value - you never get anything like this staying in big hotels - and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. And Millie the cat is lovely too!

David, Worcester

Genuinely friendly and helpful hosts, a wonderful breakfast and cosy, warm bedroom and suite. Excellent value too - we will be back!

Stayed 1 night on a cycling tour of Shropshire. Elaine & Sandy are absolutely wonderful, genuine people with a lovely home. We stayed in the front bedroom, with a good sized separate tv lounge/library & an immaculate well stocked bathroom. The house is on a lovely street just a few mins walk from Ludlow centre. Elaine & Sandy were more than happy to give recommendations/directions etc & Ludlow is a lovely, place to visit. Breakfast was fantastic - a huge plate of splendid bacon/egg/sausage etc plus the hosts' Scottish twist - haggis/black pudding/potato scone ! Magnificent B&B ! Many thanks
