The front door is open for your arrival… Step into the rich red hallway of this traditional Georgian-fronted farmhouse, and find cosy corners for reading, period prints, polished wood, and open fires in the winter. Maria gives you breakfast in a sunny dining/sitting room, where doors open out to the patio and garden beyond; the guest sitting room is snug with comfy sofas and plenty of books. Sink into luxurious beds in immaculate bedrooms; TVs are smart, WiFi is on tap, bathrooms gleam and views are green and peaceful. The Somerset Levels surround you, Glastonbury and Wells are close and there’s a good pub in the village too.

Perfect in every way! Exceptionally welcoming comfortable rooms. Very pretty in all parts of house. Fantastic bathroom, deliously comfortable beds, heavenly pillows, good wi-fi, lovely country views, close to excellent pub & delicious breakfasts. Delightful owners who made us so welcome again!

Carolyn, London,

Best accommodation I've experienced in Devon. Comfort, stylish, impeccably furnished and the warmest welcome from the owner, Maria. It was the perfect country retreat.

What a gorgeous, tranquil home away from home. Maria and Chris are fantastic hosts, with great attention to detail. Thanks so much for such an unforgettable, relaxing stay! A & D

This is nothing short of perfection. From the moment of arrival, you feel at home. I don't think I've encountered more friendly, thoughtful and kind hosts as Maria and Chris. Nothing was a problem. My family stayed three nights and booked all rooms and so Maria provided us with so many extras like kettle/toaster/microwave/tv in lounge. You just feel like part of the family, but at the same time we had total privacy. The attention to detail was fantastic. There were so many unprompted touches. Crackling fires ready lit at breakfast and in the evenings. 5 star luxury but with a homey feel!
