Escape from London to arty, foodie Bruton. Feel at home instantly – comfortable rooms, the best breakfasts, terrace and pretty garden

A home full of antiques, lovely old wooden floors, colourful rugs, log fires and good art. An easy place to stay and Olivia, ex-London chef, gives you comfortable, peaceful bedrooms with robes, flowers, homemade biscuits and elderflower cordial; bathrooms with big drench showers are a treat too. Guests love the breakfasts! It’s served in the big, airy sitting/dining room by the window. Olivia bakes her own bread and drop scones and changes the cooked choice each day. A great base for exploring arty Bruton, visiting the schools (there are three), walking, cycling; Glastonbury, Wells and heaps of National Trust houses are nearby.
