Reviews

A lovely house in beautiful grounds with an enormous drawing room to sit and gaze upon them. Terrific hospitality too with excellent breakfasts. If you are looking for an English country house experience with an interesting history near a classic Suffolk town and delightful rolling countryside - this is the place to stay. Highly recommended.

Alan, London

Perfect hospitality. A wonderfully restful and refreshing stay in this beautiful, and beautifully furnished, home. We hope to return.

Denis, Addlestone

Holbecks House is a grand historic house in a beautiful setting. It is surrounded by spectacular parkland - especially in autumn - and has extensive gardens and grounds of its own. The rooms are large and comfortable; the bathrooms have an old-fashioned charm. Breakfasts are superb and all locally sourced and cooked to order. Perry, the owner looks after his guests extremely well. An easy walk down into the village of Hadleigh and its range of restaurants and shops through the parkland adds to the experience of staying here.

Mandy, Sawday's Inspector

We stayed at this lovely house for two nights and wished we had had longer to explore the extensive gardens as well as the surrounding area.. Perry & Charlotte could not have been more welcoming and helpful. They provided us with a delicious dinner on one of the nights. Very much hope we can return sometime soon.

Sandra

We have now stayed three times at Holbecks House. We would recommend it to anyone, the house is beautiful, with lovely open fires. Very welcoming hosts who are friendly and accommodating, and even made us packed lunches at short notice. The breakfasts are great and they are very flexible when it come to the lovely evening meals. Highly recommended for a quiet stay in congenial surroundings.
