A generous feel pervades this lovely family home; Kim’s big friendly kitchen is the hub of the house. She and John are easy-going and kind and there’s no standing on ceremony. Feel welcomed with tea on arrival, delicious breakfasts, oodles of interesting facts about what to do in the area. The house, with solar electricity, is big and sunny; old rugs cover parquet floors, soft sofas tumble with cushions, sash windows look onto the smart garden packed with birds and borders. We were welcomed into Kim and John's lovely home and looked after beautifully during our weekend stay. Our room was warm, quiet and right beside the brilliant power shower room. Breakfasts were full and relaxed with lots of newspapers to read and extra bits of toast for our dog.

Kim and John are the perfect hosts, sitting on the patio with them on a warm evening, watching the bees on the lavender and sipping something bubbly is the perfect end to a long day. The room was perfect and the breakfast kept us going all day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Marston House. For a quintessentially English country home, you need look no further. We had a lovely, airy, comfortable room, overlooking the delightful garden. Kim could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Breakfast was a feast in the elegant dining room, with home made jam, honey and marmalade. We hope to return for longer as it's such a good base to explore local places of interest.

What a warm welcome we had for a short stay. We followed a short walk around the village Kim gave us and really appreciated their help locating friends we were meeting on a barge near Long Itchington. Wonderful breakfast with the papers overlooking the garden. Recommended!

Kim and John made us feel very welcome with tea and cake in the garden on arrival. The house is beautiful and sits amidst a glorious garden which we were free to wander round with our Jack Russell. Our room overlooked the garden and was full of little touches such as fresh garden flowers. Kim provided a map of the village and we had a lovely walk round. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was vast and very tasty. Loved the homemade gooseberry jam. Happy to recommend to family and friends and a return visit is highly probable. Thank you for a most enjoyable time.

We took a long shot thinking that many nice places might be closed on new year's night, Kim got back to us right away to confirm availability. The house is great, full of interesting pictures and bits and pieces, maintained in a lovely traditional style. Our hosts were a charming couple who were very interesting to talk to. John kept the children captivated with a few mathematical magic tricks. The house was left to us for the evening, so we relaxed in the living room with a bottle of bubbly, graciously provided by Kim. Breakfast was fantastic, home made marmalade, fresh orange juice etc

We had a really wonderful stay here with Kim and John, who both made us feel very welcome; a real home from home (although nobody cooks me a delicious breakfast when I am at home!). We stayed with our three girls (twins aged 5 and a six year old) and both Kim and John were fantastic with the children and made a huge effort to welcome and entertain them. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was first class. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast and we hope to return again soon.

A lovely, quiet location that felt like home away from home. We were warmly greeted with a pot of tea and delicious home made cake. John accompanied us on a walk, before insisting we try out their brand new electric bicycles for a quick spin up the hill. What fun! Kim and John are such interesting people and inspired us with their zest for life. Our room was most comfortable and the added little extras like fresh flowers, mineral water and dressing gowns made this a very special place to stay. The breakfast was delicious and Kim’s home made marmelade is out of this world! We'll visit again.

We chose Marston House not least because it was "dog-friendly", and with Wesley the whippet in tow this was essential. This proved to be just one of its many charms. The welcome was warm, the room spacious and comfortable, the advice about local walks and hostelries really helpful and the breakfasts were, as claimed, top nosh. We didn't know the area at all but found it remarkably pretty and ideal for the kind of walking we were looking for. Kim and John are rightly proud that so many of their guests return time and again, and we all agree (Wesley included) we'll be back .

Several visits in 2014, all with the best possible welcome, generous hospitality, good conversation, peaceful room with lovely garden outlook. Kim and John are effortless in their ability to make you feel like a welcome friend. I hope more work in Warwickshire brings me back. The breakfasts are excellent, too. Thank you!

After being stuck on the M25 and M40 for six hours and arriving two and a half hours late four our evening meal we couldn't have wished for a better reception. Kim and John were full of the joys - helpful, sympathetic, and not the leat bit bothered by the inconvenience it had caused them. Wonderful hosts, a great evening meal and fabulous breakfast, and to top it off we were given a map of the village and reccomended a wonderful walk. Will look forward to staying here again.

My dog Guinness and I had a lovely stay with Kim and John. Our hosts were ready and waiting to take me and the dog on a lovely walk through the village and across fields, with plenty of chat and wildlife. We felt very honoured to have our own private guides! Tea and cake were provided also, as well as the log fire. I definitely recommend their lovely house and the warmth of their welcome. They were friendly, kind and thoughtful. The only problem was that my stay was too short!

Many thanks, Kim & John. Dennis & I had such a lovely stay at Marston House - you are both most welcoming. Breakfast was delicious & thanks for morning tea & papers. We much appreciated help with directions, both to get us on our way to Sussex & for walk around the village, which Maisie & Meg very much enjoyed. They also enjoyed the warm welcome you gave them & the sausages! What an absolute treat to come back at bedtime to find hot water bottles in our bed - no hostess/host has ever done that for us before! Thanks also for the intro to population trees! Thank you for making us so at home.
