The
Experience

A riverside stroll along the old tramway path brings you to the centre of Stratford. Step into the handsome hallway of this impeccable Victorian house to find high ceilings, deep bays, generous landings and a homely sitting room. The Evanses downsized from the hotel they used to run here, and are happy to treat just a few guests: trouser presses (yes!) and piles of towels mingle with fine old furniture in immaculate bedrooms; two have Swan Theatre views. Hotel touches, a lovely warm welcome, Jean’s cake on arrival and homemade preserves at breakfast. Park off road โ€“ or leave the car at home.

Reviews

We had a wonderful stay here, breaking our journey to Lincolnshire. It was dark and snowing, we were welcomed into a beautiful, warm and comfortable home by lovely and interesting people. There was hot tea and delicious cake and biscuits. We had booked to go to the nearby theatre, just a short walk in a wonderful snowy scene. After a fabulous evening we returned to our warm and comfortable bedroom after making ourselves hot chocolates. We set off after a lovely breakfast. This is a marvellous place to stay and we hope to return and stay longer so that we can explore Stratford on Avon.

We have been to Sequoia House four times and really love it. Philip and Jean are perfect hosts and the house is lovely and perfectly located for the theatre.
