A charming, eccentric home and fabulous for families, with space to play and animals to see: sheep, bantams and pigs. A fragrant, romantic garden with a blossoming orchard and a fascinating house (1640), all low ceilings, aged floors and steep stairs. Timbered passages lead to large, pretty, sunny bedrooms (all with electric blankets) with leaded windows and polished wooden floors and a family room with everything needed for a baby. In a farmhouse dining room Cathy serves sausages, bacon, and eggs from the farm, can do gluten-free breakfasts and is happy to do teas for children. Buy a day ticket and fish in the lake.

"We've just come back from a night away staying at Shrewley Pools Farm. It is such a pretty farmhouse, very unique with charming decor and a very comfortable bed. Cathy our host was fantastic and welcoming and generous. She couldn't have looked after us better. Our breakfast was home grown and delicious. We will definitely recommend her to others wanting a cosy country experience with a happy family feel. Thankyou so much for the delicious honey. "

"We had a lovely stay here last weekend. The kids loved the farm setting and enjoyed seeing the animals. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast, and found Cathy to be welcoming and happy to help with local advice. It was a perfect way to end a fun (but busy!) day at Warwick Castle, just a few miles down the road. We will definitely come back when in the area."

"A gem in general, and an absolute treasure for garden lovers, not least because your hostess Cathy is very friendly and knowledgable and happy to share your enthusiasm. When we left I felt more as if I left a friend than anything else."

"If you're on business, why stay in Warwick or Coventry's grim budget hotels when you can have a lovely evening in a medieval farmhouse surrounded by flora and fauna? Very welcoming and good value - and for evening dinner it's only a brisk 10 minute walk to the local gastropub."

"Stayed here overnight for a much earned night away from the children. Cathys attention to detail throughout the property was fantastic adn she really has thought of everything. The house is lovely, full of character and really warm and cozy (it was -3 outside). She really does go that extra mile to make your stay enjoyable, presenting me with detailed information the morning after asking, about attractions the night before."
