There is a timelessness about this elegant, very old village house, which Jane runs with energy and friendliness. A blue twin bedroom is in the wing with its own large, elegant drawing and dining room – it’s seductively easy to relax and perfect for families or friends. The second pretty twin and the A-shaped double, with beams and oak furniture, are in the main part of the house; gleaming bathrooms have  ila-spa treats. All garden lovers, but rosarians in particular, will adore the garden Jane and William have created over the years. With a background of high mature trees and a sloping site, they’ve built a series of loosely linked areas, adding beech and yew hedges vigorously and sympathetically to make a garden that sits well with their lovely old home. Old roses rule above all, climbing up walls, rambling over pergolas and arches, softening hard corners and, in a final flourish, scenting and colouring a rose avenue. There are cleverly planted borders and a delicious herb garden. William and Jane have made the very best of the lay of their three acres and their love of plants and garden design is wonderfully infectious.

We spent a really delightful three days at "The Old Manor House". Our bedroom and bathroom were huge and so comfortable. Jane and William were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. A truly beautiful place to stay.

We stayed at the Old Manor House for two nights. It is a delightful house, full of character and beautifully furnished. William and Jane were the most charming and accommodating hosts. William greeted us on our arrival and then brought us tea and biscuits while we relaxed in their beautiful garden, in which Jane was working hard; we were lucky to visit when the roses were in full bloom. Our bedroom was very well equipped and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom had an abundance of soaps and lotions. Breakfast on both days was delicious; do try the mushrooms with the cooked breakfast.

We have returned home from a wonderful weekend staying at The Old Manor Halford. The property is idyllic, immaculately clean and our hosts William and Jane made every effort to help make our stay perfect. The location is ideal for exploring the many beautiful Cotswold villages, walks and pubs!

Brilliant hosts. The Manor House was the perfect place to retreat to after an evening at the RSC. Jane and Michael were remarkably kind hosts. Our stay was the perfect combination of being looked after, while also feeling like there was enough space to enjoy ourselves. And a wonderful breakfast thrown into the bargain. First class accommodation. I should also add that I had made special inquiries about my elderly aunt and mother who were joining the party. Jane was very, very helpful. Thanks again. I cannot recommend enough.

Firstly, what an absolutely gorgeous find....the old manor house is simply stunning. We were made to feel incredibly welcome from the moment William answered the phone and took our booking. We stayed one night with two children and booked the annexe. Perfect for a family and incredibly spacious, with all the creature comforts that expect to find at home. What a welcome with the fire roaring in the incredible drawing room, that the guests can use to unwind and relax. Beds were immensely comfortable with luxury bedlinen. Fabulous power shower and breakfast was just heavenly! Thank you.

Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful, relaxing, charming B&B's we've stayed in. Equally delightful hosts Jane and William who made us feel right at home. Highly recommended.
