You’ll feel immediately at home when you walk into James and Debs’ farmhouse. Built 15 years ago, with beautifully mellow Chilmark stone, yet it looks as if it’s been here for much longer. Your airy bedroom has flowers, books, tea, coffee and biscuits; lie in the deeply comfortable bed and soak up stunning countryside views. There’s an extra room for children. Breakfast is served by the window in the sitting room; more flowers and cheerful pottery decorate the table. Visit Stourhead, Stonehenge, arty Bruton; the Jurassic coast is just 50 minutes. Return to a huge squashy sofa by the fire, plenty of books and magazines to browse.

We spent a restful night in this idyllic farmhouse, listening to a barn owl, late at night. Most important though was the warm welcome we got! I would highly recommend this beautiful B&B.

Isabelle, Leicester

Delightful location and host, very laid back and enjoyable stay with fabulous walks from the farm. Alfred was a very engaging four legged host too!

Richard, Colchester

Deb and James were very welcoming and we enjoyed the very relaxed, easy going atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Great breakfasts and two lovely pet dogs to fuss.

Tony and julie, Harrogate

My husband, I and our teenage daughter enjoyed two nights at Milton Farm. Deb and James gave us such a warm welcome - with some of Deb's delicious shortbread by the aga. Their hospitality was so relaxed and considerate, making us feel completely at home. We slept brilliantly, cocooned in deep beautiful countryside for which our hosts' passion was infectious. A gem of a break.

Sarah, Lichfield

Absolutely fabulous. Genuinely one of the most welcoming B&Bs we’ve stayed in. Exactly what we’d hope for from a Sawdays property.

Gareth, Cardiff

Tucked in a tranquil part of Wilshire, Deb and James’s Milton Farm is a treat ! Their big open garden, charming house and even more charming personalities provided us the much required getaway from our busy life ! Traffic noise was replaced by the chirping of birds and congested road gave way to long friendly walks ! Deb very kindly took us through a beautiful walk up the hills to the pub and James dropped me and the kids back home ! Their hospitality - we will never forget !
