The
Experience

A gorgeous country house – and Caroline is a treat of a host. The dining room shines with glass, antiques and family portraits; a particularly impressive admiral gazes benignly down as you tuck into breakfast: local eggs and sausages, and jams from the orchard. The harmonious sitting room has comfy sofas, books and games; pretty bedrooms have perfect mattresses and linen (and, from one, fantastic views up to Salisbury Plain); bathrooms come with cast-iron baths, scented soaps and lashings of hot water. Stonehenge and Salisbury are nearby, walks are good, and Caroline holds the village fête in her delightful garden.

Reviews

Rushall Manor is a delightful place and Caroline is a wonderful host along with her Labrador Zoe! The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable and the breakfast was very enjoyable with family ancestral potraits on the wall making sure you minded your manners! The garden is lovely and there are lots of lovely walks and places to visit in the area. I can't recommend Rushall Manor enough!

We felt at home the moment we stepped through the door. We had our 2 kids with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the stay as well. Bedroom was beautiful and clean, with a beautiful view over the garden and fields. Caroline was a fantastic host and served a delicious breakfast. Thumbs up from the whole family!

What a lovely place to stay. It felt like being at home, caroline was so welcoming. The rooms were very cosy, the grounds were beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. We loved that Eve the dog was present she topped off a wonderful stay. Would 100 percent return.

We were attending a dog show(!) at Pewsey on the Sunday and wanted somewhere for our terrier and the two of us to stay. Rushall Manor suited us perfectly: a warm welcome and tea and cake from Caroline followed by a bracing walk up the track to some spectacular views. Supper at the Antelope at Upavon was excellent, as was Caroline's breakfast the following morning in her dining room hung with family portraits. This is a cut above your average B&B experience.

Rushall Manor is beautiful, and very comfortable and Caroline is a gentle and generous host with her dear companion Zoe (Labrador). Stunning gardens and walk out over to Salisbury Plain from the house. Supper at The Antelope Pub (brief walk along fields into Upavon village) was very tasty and affordable. My sister and I will return with our partners soon, we hope.

Just returned from a fantastic two night stay at Rushall Manor. Caroline is the ultimate hostess - you felt like you were part of the family as soon as you arrived. The bed was extremely comfortable and everywhere was clean but homely. The breakfasts were great - didn't really need to eat for the rest of the day! Zoe, Caroline's dog was lovely to have around too. Thank you for a wonderful time. I would love to come and stay again.

Rush all Manor was the perfect base for our garden tour. Caroline was a wonderful host and looked after us so well. We had lovely rooms, delicious breakfast and even time to play bridge in her lovely drawing room! Could not have been more comfortable .

My wife, son & I have just returned from a perfect two night stay at beautiful housee. From the time we arrived we were made to feel we were at home. The house and grounds are an absolute delight as is the surrounding countryside. The breakfasts were as good as I've had, but what really makes this place special is the lady of the manor, Caroline, whose hospitality makes your stay there special!

I stayed at Rushall Manor for 2 nights on business in the local area. Caroline was delightful, she was the perfect hostess, I was immediately made very welcome. On my first evening there, as I was travelling on my own and the only one booked in for dinner, Caroline asked me to join her and her sister-in-law, I was made to feel part of the family. The house is absolutely stunning and the gardens beautiful. My bedroom was very comfortable and I slept amazingly well. Breakfast was delicious, Zoe joined me and was perfectly well behaved. I would certainly stay there again. Thanks Caroline!

Debbie

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Rushall Manor. The house is beautiful and set in lovely and tranquil surroundings. Caroline is an excellent hostess, and made us feel at once relaxed and at home. It was worth going just for the delicious and genuinely 'full' English breakfast. Excellent food, excellent house, excellent hostess- highly recommended.
