Rooms sleep 2 – 4

In a tranquil village next to the river is a house surrounded by water meadows and wilderness garden. Roses ramble, marsh orchids bloom and butterflies shimmer in this 12-acre labour of love. Michael’s home, a time-worn 18th-century miller’s house, is packed with country clutter – porcelain, foxes’ brushes, ancestral photographs above the fire – while bedrooms are quaint, flowery and old-fashioned with firm comfy beds. Breakfasts are served at small tables in the pretty dining room. Visit nearby Stonehenge, wander round historic Salisbury; return to sunny seats in the garden and watch the river Till go by.

Wonderful stay. You're going to love it! A small corner of Eden! Splendid garden dripping with nature, a twinkling brook, delightful corners to sit back and chill, an amazing local pub with great food, a fantastic farm shop on hand, a variety of walks and vistas, delicious home-cooked organic breakfast, a great night's sleep in a cosy room and most important, Michael, a charming, relaxed, thoughtful host who is respectful yet chatty and informative if you need. Turn off your i-phone, and tune in to a bit of old-fashioned English charm...

What a gem, peaceful, idyllic corner of Wiltshire. Our huge room had windows on 3 sides giving a great feeling of the countryside around and the cottage style gardens and the mill stream. No street lighting and traffic sounds were minimal. With the tranquil surroundings the huge bed gave us two excellent nights sleep. Some might say that the furnishings were dated but to us blended well with the character of the house. Despite the age of the house the modern ensuite shower room was well suited for 21st century visitors. We highly recommend a stay to anyone who enjoys victorian style elegance.

Wow, what a lovely gem of a find. It started with a warm and responsive email to my inquiry and continued throughout our stay. From the lovely garden to the well thought out and rooms with ensuite bath to the fresh and delicious breakfast, everything was perfect. The host takes such pride in this lovely bed and breakfast that our stay was positively memorable. While we traveled to Stonehenge, our trip was highlighted by the friendly atmosphere, immaculate bedding, fresh large English breakfast and overall delightful find of the Mill House B and B , we wish we had a longer time to linger .

Joanna, Las vegas

Peaceful, wonderful cottage garden, very comfortable bedroom, and a lovely short walk along the stream up to the Boot, which provided high quality / well priced dinner. Michael was the perfect host, a gentleman. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend.

My husband and I had the loveliest time at the Mill House, Michael went to a lot of effort to make us feel at home and ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. The gardens and surrounding areas are beautiful, especially as we visited in the spring and had lovely weather to compliment it. Michael provided us with a wonderful breakfast, where he also took the time to discuss what we could do whilst on our visit to Wiltshire. Highlighy recommend staying at the Mill House and will be back in the near future!
