Guests love Sue’s modern townhouse, quietly tucked away in a private road above the Water of Leith yet a short distance from the city. From the wooden-floored entrance a picture-lined staircase winds upward. Handsome bedrooms display china cups and floral spreads; dazzling bathrooms have Molton Brown goodies. Wake for Stornoway black pudding, kedgeree, homemade jams and delicious ginger compote at the gleaming table. Owls sometimes hoot in the pretty sloping garden, there’s an outside luggage store, parking is free and art galleries and Murrayfield Stadium are nearby.

Very enjoyable stay- friendly owner, lovely house, excellent room and en suite, beautiful breakfasts, relaxed atmosphere and a pleasant walk into the centre of Edinburgh. I visit Edinburgh each summer and it is one of two B&Bs I would not hesitate to book again.

I stayed with Sue for two extended periods in October/November 2014, and February/March 2015 while studying for exams. She was great and went out of her way to provide me with an environment suitable to my needs. The house is a 15 minute walk to George St and less to the West End situated down a quiet road which is perfect for a good nights sleep. Overall highly recommended if either passing through or for an extended break in Edinburgh.

Sue's b&b was lovely, and she was a fabulous host. Although, we only stayed for one night we left wishing we had stayed for longer. The room and ensuite were immaculate ( and came With extra blankets, towels and anything else you could possibly need). Sue was happy to provide any information that we would need. The rooms were filled with leaflets and cards to help out, and the tea and coffee table was a lovely extra. The breakfast the next morning, we opted for full Scottish, and it was cooked to perfection and we were able to help ourselves to toast, cereal and yogurt. Sue's b&b was perfect.
