An elegant, comfortable, interesting and beautiful place to stay. Spotless modern bathroom, and wonderfully quiet. Delicious generous breakfast. Angela is a delightful, friendly and helpful host. Very highly recommended.

A beautiful house tucked away in a quiet street - a perfect place to stay. Location is within minutes walk of Princes Street and central Edinburgh but also very near Picardy Place for Trams and buses if you don’t like walking. House full of original Georgian features with great attention to detail. Our room had lots of character and a beautiful modern bathroom. Breakfast was flexibly timed and delicious ranging from fresh fruit to fully cooked. Angela was a lovely, caring, generous host and, if you don’t know Edinburgh, a fount of good advice on what to do and see.

Lovely and charming house in quiet residential street. Central location. Beautiful breakfasts. Friendly helpful host. Comfortable bedroom. I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at 14 Hart Street. It was the nicest, and most comfortable (not to mention cost-effective and elegant) stay that we had on our trip to Scotland. Lovely quiet and comfortable rooms, delicious hot breakfast and expert advice for the best local pubs! Compared to the 'special hotels' we booked via other apps, this one was the best by far! Love Sawdays.

What a find, an absolute gem of a place to stay. Angela is the perfect host, friendly, knowledgeable and with a glorious home. Rooms are generous, bathrooms modern and very clean. It is in a great location with plenty of local good quality restaurants to choose from - just ask Angela for recommendations. Breakfast is a treat, so much choice including fresh fruit and croissant and a delicious cooked to order breakfast, with local bacon and sausages. We loved our three night stay and won't hesitate to return.

We stayed for three nights last week whilst visiting The Fringe and just wanted to pass on our recommendation for such excellent accommodation. Angela could not have been a more welcoming and helpful host; the breakfast was wonderful, the room spotless (with fresh towels provided each day and a very welcoming complimentary decanter of whisky and bottle of wine) and the location is ideal for visiting the heart of Edinburgh.

Wonderful B&B. The room was very nicely decorated and very clean. The breakfast was delicious! The welcome by Angela was very warm and welcoming. Although the B&B is not far from busy places, it was very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated Georgian home. Great location on a quiet residential street within easy walking distance to the Royal Mile and many other sights. Delicious breakfast served in an elegant dining room. Tastefully furnished room with a spacious, modern bathroom. Very friendly and welcoming host (Angela) who gave excellent restaurant recommendations. We hope to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 14 Hart Street. The decor is elegant and refined. We wish we had time to study the art that covers much of the wall space, but of course we were there to see Edinburgh! The location is fabulous. The street is quiet, but around the corner there are loads of good options for food and drink. We walked everywhere from 14 Hart! The excellent National Portrait Gallery is a short walk, along with Calton Hill, Holyrood Palace, and Holyrood Park. But back to 14 Hart. The breakfasts were excellent, and the decanter of whisky is a nice touch. Angela is fabulous!

We had a delightful stay in June. Our host Angela was kind and well informed and had most interesting stories to share. Breakfast was delicious. Many attractions like the Royal Mile, George Street and Calton Hill were in easy walking distance.

We had an incredible stay! Not only were our accommodations comfortable and well furnished, but the entire space was so unique. I felt like I was stepping back in time without losing any modern day comforts. We had so much fun and hope to stay again next time we visit Edinburgh!

We had an amazing stay at 14 Hart Street over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend! We felt special the moment we arrived and were shown to our lovely large luxurious room and felt this way every morning when having breakfast on a beautifully layed out table. The location was perfect making you feel like you are in the center of town but on a super quiet street at the same time and was the perfect base for our city exploration! Our host Angela was delightful ! She really elevated our stay providing us with great advise for where to eat as well as insider tips

This is a true gem of a place with a wonderful Newtown Georgian charm. The breakfasts were delicious and Angela most helpful and kind. The immediate area is brimming with good eateries. It comes highly recommended for exploring my favourite city.

Excellent location for city centre and the tram from the Airport. Catered for every need even had a lovely Irish coffee with the decanter of Whiskey in our room. Beautiful Georgian house lovingly cared for. Fantastic modern bathroom with loads of hot water and a great shower and toiletries. Coffee and tea facilities and the shortbread really nice. Lovely selection for breakfast including a choice of freshly cooked items served in a beautiful dining room.Angela our host was so friendly and welcoming and gave good recommendations in the area. Would highly recommend.

What a truly, lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! Perfectly situated, this wonderful home is so much better than any impersonal hotel. Filled with antiques and charm, not to mention fabulous Scottish hospitality, it’s as if you’ve found a secluded country house in the heart of the city centre. And you have the key! We cannot recommend 14 Hart Street, Edinburgh more highly. Wonderful and thoughtful touch’s in bedroom, unlimited hot water meant that returning to such a cosy room after the brisk & bracing weather was delightful. Delicious breakfasts over the papers were a perfect start to the day!

Excellent location. Very quiet room with a comfortable bed and great breakfast in the morning. Angela made us very welcome. Would definitely recommend 14 Hart Street.

This is B & B of a very high standard with a charming host who makes you so welcome. The rooms were excellent with thoughtful extras. Breakfast is worth getting up for. Deserves a second visit Great place

Its difficult to think of anything different to add to this review after reading the recent ones for last few visitors. We can only endorse the comments made, good location, quiet room, excellent breakfasts, helpful and welcoming host. We would definitely return if we need a place to stay on our next trip to Edinburgh.
