We stayed for four nights. Our hosts were generous and charming. They went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel special. Their house is a gallery of beautiful artefacts and paintings set in style and comfort. We will be back!

What a wonderful place to stay! This was our last stop on Geoff's (special) birthday tour of Scotland and it couldn't have been better. From the moment Caroline and Hugh welcomed us, we were made to feel like new members of the family. Our ensuite room was extremely comfortable, the breakfasts were outstanding, the house was filled with interesting art and we enjoyed our morning chats with Caroline as much as the great Glasgow attractions we managed to visit. The walk into central Glasgow was pleasant, the decisions on what to visit when were easily made with Caroline's help. We'll be back!

We loved staying in this stunning private home. The owners made us feel like old friends and the breakfast was enormous and delicious. I can't recommend it highly enough and it seemed very good value at £70 a night. It's also in the heart of a really beautiful part of Glasgow with brilliant bars, cafes, restaurants, parks and art galleries nearby. A highlight of our trip to Scotland.

Lovely quiet room, wonderful breakfast and a friendly welcome. Can't recommend this place too much!

We stayed with Caroline and Hugh at either end of our summer holiday, breaking the journey from Bristol to Islay with them. They were incredibly hospitable - happy to accommodate our three daughters. Breakfast both times delicious (eggs from their chickens) and Caroline very sweetly asked the girls what their favourite cereal was, bought some the afternoon we arrived, and remembered it for the return visit. The house is beautiful, beds very comfortable, and the welcome from C& H plus divine terrier Gertie, would be hard to beat.

Beautiful house with charming hosts who made us feel very welcome. Excellent-would not go anywhere else in Glasgow!

Caroline and Hugh accepted my booking despite the fact that it was really inconvenient for them to have a guest that weekend, but could not have been more hospitable. The room is an absolute haven, a lovely combination of period elegance and modern comfort, as is the entire house. On my second morning their daughter came round specially to prepare my breakfast, as her parents both had early starts. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. Even though I didn't get a chance to talk to the Andersons for long, I left feeling I'd made three new friends. Glad to find somewhere nice in Glasgow at last.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights with Caroline and Hugh after the endless flight from Australia. They are superb hosts, solicitous but never hovering, and really warm and interesting to talk with. Their beautiful house featured tasteful paintings, blissful quiet, and an airy wintergarden for breakfasts, which were wonderful in their own right. On top of all that, the west end of Glasgow gave us a very different, positive impression of the city. Hopefully their own holiday in the Uists went well - ours with them was a delight.

A real gem in Glasgow. Caroline and Hugh are fantastic hosts. A really warm welcome, lovely room and fantastic breakfast. I was sorry I had to leave - I could have watched the chickens roaming in the garden all day. Looking forward to coming back again.

I stayed at Caroline's house with my daughter who visited the University and participated in its open days. We had a wonderful stay. Caroline is such a considerate hostess and an interesting person. The room was elegantly decorated and very comfortable. Caroline prepared a succulent breakfast taking into account our dietary requests. I can wholeheartedly recommend this guest house and look forward to staying with Caroline again as my daughter will spend the four following years in Glasgow.

Caroline and Hugh are the most hospitable people you could wish to meet. The breakfast was excellent and the care and attention to your stay was fantastic. Will try to stay every time we visit Glasgow. Authentic B&B experience, not to be missed! Our teenage son loved his stay as well.
