A Victorian townhouse with its toes in the country: the mountain hovers above, the loch shimmers below and the garden slopes steeply to great banks of rhododendrons. Bedrooms are inviting: immaculate linen, decanter of sherry, luxurious bathroom, comfortable places to sit and read. Soak up stunning loch views from roll top or bed in the Garden Suite – a romantic, timber building tucked away in the grounds. The Terrace Suite has a copper bath and its own patio. Elegant breakfasts are served at mahogany tables with linen napkins; Joan’s warm vivacity and love of B&B means guests keep coming back. Only a 10-minute walk into town too.

Dear all, Just to say we've just had a really wonderful night's stay at the Grange in Fort William. Everything was beautiful, from the entrance hall to the bedroom ( what a bathroom! ) to the breakfast, and Joan was lovely, everything sparkled and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely deserving of the five stars. Probably the nicest B and B we've ever found...... Now heading for Harris in the rain. Yippee.
