On a peaceful and pretty tidal river creek between Narberth and Tenby, this Georgian Quay Master’s house is heaven for walkers, bird watchers and lovers of a good pub – there’s one just down the road. Guests have a separate entrance to cosy, modern-rustic style, third-floor rooms: Welsh blankets, good white linen, pristine stone-tiled bathrooms, sofas, DVDs, coffee machines, a shared fridge. Philip and Rhian’s love of art is evident (as is their friendly, lively lurcher!); they make jams and bread for relaxed, full-Welsh breakfasts and happily advise on what to do. An easy-going place – great nearby beaches too.
