The Experience

Wow! Even non-golfers are seduced by the fabulous outlook from the back of the house – the fairway of Chateau de Vigiers golf course (one of France’s top 10) – at the end of the garden path. Luxury Dordogne Villas is Tracey’s family enterprise, they make sure you’ve everything you need (children’s bikes, babysitting) and have renovated this old farmhouse beautifully, keeping a cottagey feel with exposed stone walls and wooden beams. From the tiny hamlet you enter straight into the snug, very well-equipped kitchen/dining room (with original bread oven), up a few steps to the sitting room with wood-burner and leather sofas and beyond this to the spacious terrace with that view… shared by all but one of the bedrooms – the other has the best bathroom (all are very good and modern). Attractive rooms come with pine, fine linen and net drapes. The pool is prettily enclosed, the large park/orchard has a trampoline, and a hammock to lounge in – listening to birdsong and the occasional satisfying crack of a golf ball leaving the club. A Michelin-starred restaurant, great cycling, walking and vineyards on the doorstep.

Where do I start, a very beautiful place and very quiet it had everything you need and more, the pool is fantastic and the air-con is a godsend as it was very hot. Tracey the owner was very helpful with everything and was a phone call or email away, I would recommend this gite if you want a quiet and peaceful getaway 10 out of 10

La Grange is perfect location for a relaxed, family holiday with golf on the door step. I visited early June with my wife and 2 young children. We had a fantastic holiday with the kids enjoying the heated pool and me escaping to play a round of golf early evening. The 30% discount on rounds was appreciated at Vigiers and made it an affordable daily event. We will be returning!

La Grange Sud is a perfect venue for enjoying a French rural holiday, and, at the same time it is also a great location for any golfers that are in your group. The lower garden has now been landscaped, and includes a lovely seating area, another great spot to enjoy drinks and watch the golf..I thoroughly recommend this lovely home for a holiday,, so much to see and do,in this beautiful part of France. Heated pool and numerous terraces are great for relaxing also.

La Grange is extremely comfortable and well equipped in an ideal setting overlooking the Chateau de Vigiers golf course. We stayed for two weeks and were joined by our daughter and her family for the second week. Our ten month old grandson loved the heated pool as did we all. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner even to the extent of a playpen being bought specially for the baby. There is plenty to see and do in the area with restaurants ranging from Michelin star to bistro all close by as are numerous vineyards open for tasting and buying. We shall definitely be back!

Went with 2 mates for a cycling holiday. Great luxury accommodation after a days cycling. We especially appreciated the heated pool. The owner provided the new bikes and helmets which meant we could fly down from where we live near Southampton. Thanks also for arranging meals every evening for us at the house. Returning next Spring.

We visited the area in low season and had a wonderful time. Accommodation was excellent, home from home. Overlooking the golf course we couldn't resist a couple of games, using clubs provided. Will definitely return.

We spent an excellent fortnight in this wonderful house surrounded by vineyards. It is in a lovely secluded spot but has lots to do nearby including a Michelin starred restaurant within walking distance! The house has everything you could imagine needing and the owner Tracey is always on hand via email to help out when needed. Definitely a repeater!

Beautiful, comfortable house. Very spacious, with absolutely everything you need. Lovely surroundings, situated amid vineyards galore. So peaceful and very, very relaxing. Everything was very clean and the owner was a dream to correspond with. Cannot recommend highly enough.
