The Experience

Bring friends and family to this elegant house with bags of space inside and out. In the manicured garden you’ll find the huge heated pool, the sauna, football goals, badminton and table tennis. And much can be added: a chef, a personal trainer, massage, tai chi and yoga instructors, bike hire, whatever you need.

Cook in the gleaming stainless steel kitchen, eat in the colonnaded dining room or out in the garden on balmy days, settle down peacefully by the wood-burner in the big sitting room (the gigantic TV has its own corner and sofas) or take a 5-minute stroll to a great restaurant, The Black Duck.

Upstairs bedrooms (all air-conditioned and with en suite bathrooms) show canvasses from Kerry’s photographs of Monet’s garden – they used to live near Giverny – and original paintings of this area. Visit weekly markets to stock up on excellent regional food and wine, explore fascinating châteaux and ancient caves, go canoeing, return to much comfort and a cooling splash in the pool.

Reviews

Me and my friends had a wonderful stay at les Charmes de Carlucet. The house is magnificient and anything you need is there. A lovely pool, BBQ, football goals, table tennis and a kitchen you can only dream of. In advance we could ask Tomas and Kerry anything about the region and what activities we could do. They recommended us some nice restaurants in the neighborhood and even helped us with the reservations. I will definitely come back for another vacation to enjoy this beautiful house in a nice and peaceful environment.

Loved everything about this house. We had intended to stay for a week but we’re lucky enough to be able to stay for 5 weeks and enjoyed everything about our stay. Kerry and Tomas are completely delightful and did not stop at anything to make our stay perfect. The house is beautiful and the gardens huge. The views are ridiculously fabulous and you are surrounded by birdsong. The house is so well equipped and the kitchen is fit for a chef. There is so much to do and see in the area. The nearest town is perfect and has everything you need, shops, cafes, etc.I absolutely recommend this house

What a fabulous place! Kerry and Tomas have a beautiful property and made us feel very welcome. The house is spotless and they went to great lengths to ensure we had a great time with our two children. We will definitely be going back next year!

Beautiful property! We had family and friends come join us from different corners of the world and this place took our special moment and made it exponentially better. We were able to relax, enjoy the pool area, drink, cook and eat! The kitchen had everything we could think off. Kerry and Thomas were terrific hosts. They take a lot of pride in their property and make sure that their visitors enjoy their time. Kerry provided information on a lot of options available nearby. For us specifically we were able to enjoy a white dress only party at a nearby garden. A great experience.

I stayed in a lovely comfortable room in the Manor House, and Kerry and Tomas were brilliant hosts providing excellent home cooked meals (and plenty of tea and coffee breaks) during the watercolour course I attended here with tutor Christine Forbes who also teaches at West Dean College in Sussex. A very relaxing week with our every need catered for. The property is in a lovely part of France with lots to do and see nearby, including the Lascaux cave paintings.

I spent a wonderful week participating in a watercolour course at Les Charmes. There is nothing I could fault - from the first moment we were made comfortable and spoilt. Kerry and Tomas are perfect and thoughtful hosts, nothing was too much trouble and Tomas's food was outstanding. Our tutor, Christine Forbes, was excellent and what fabulous towns, cliffs and landscapes we had to paint! A perfect week in an absolutely fabulous place, with excellent company and the joy of nothing to think about bar painting. What a shame the time went so quickly. Thank you Kerry and Tomas.

Outstanding accomodation, gorgeous breakfast, very friendly hosts. Guarantee of good swimming due to pool heating Pool drinks priced lower than supermarket. Just one thing missing to reach perfection: a night light in the room. Quality/price ratio : excellent

Les Charmes was wonderful from the moment we drove down the drive and through the gates. We had booked Les Charmes for two weeks for a three generation family holiday consisting of six adults and six children. There was plenty of room for us all and the rooms were very luxurious with the air conditioning being much appreciated . The large private pool and spacious garden areas meant that the family could enjoy not only swimming but play football , cricket and table tennis! Owners very helpful, excellent facilities and very generous welcome pack.

From the minute we drove through the gate, we were impressed. Situated in a sleepy little hamlet about 20 minutes north of Sarlat, Les Charmes positively glowed in the sunshine. Kerry was there to greet us and we soon met Tomas and their daughter Evie. They are a really lovely family and perfect hosts. Always on hand for help and advice but never intrusive, in fact, it was always a pleasure to see them. We had the whole house as a family of 11 and the space was fantastic. It has 6 beautiful bedrooms, all very light and airy, with a modern French theme. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped

Debbie, Chester

This lovely B&B does everything right!. The room we were in was very large with high quality bedding and linen. The well equipped bathroom had plenty of space to put your "stuff" and had good lighting. The room had a well stocked coffee and tea area – critical! The view of the surrounding countryside was stunning. It is located in such a prime area that we could easily make day trips, and canoeing on the Dordogne was the highlight, along with a visit to Sarlat and Berge. The owners, Tomas and Kerry, were very helpful and friendly, able to recommend local restaurants – the Black Duck is a must

Sue, London

Kerry and Tomas made us feel so welcome in their beautiful Manor House. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. Tomas's breakfast was delicious!! There is plenty to do in the area, no matter what the weather. We loved visiting the nearby Lascaux caves with the kids. We will definitely return. Thanks Kerry & Tomas!

We came to Les Charmes for a girls relaxing break and couldn't have had a nicer time, we relaxed by the pool, canoed on the Dordogne eat wonderful locally sourced produce at local restaurants recommended by our knowledgeable and attentive hosts, Kerry and Thomas. We slept well in large comfy beds, with equally spacious bathroom. All the little details to make your stay great had been thought of, from tea and coffee in the room, to toiletries in the bathroom, drinks in the fridge by the pool and of course a delicious breakfast to start the day. Can't wait to return. Thankyou.

Introducing

Kerry Flaherty-Rask

Kerry and Thomas both had corporate backgrounds and had stayed in so many hotels they felt confident they knew exactly what guests wanted. When they found this lovely place they decided to settle and they both adore looking after their guests and making a fuss of them.
