The Experience

Allan loves to entertain his guests so do book in for a delicious home-cooked supper with paired wines and good conversation. Afterwards retire to the billiard room for a game or a nightcap (from the honesty bar) in front of the fire.

You’re in the middle of a small village (bar, grocers, bakery) overlooking the church but it feels light and spacious – there are two huge bedrooms, one with a claw foot tub, and a third smaller bedroom. Behind the house is a hectare of parkland to wander.

It’s a 15-minute drive, or slightly longer bike ride to the renowned Château d’Yquem vineyard. Allan can supply picnics and bikes so saddle up for a ride along the easy-going cycle paths that criss-cross through the local pine forests.

Very pleasant stay at Prechac-Park. Beautiful bourgeois house in the middle of a superb park with large tree and a swimming pool in the heart of a charming village. Warm welcome from the master of the place. Dinner with well-chosen local products and wines in a friendly and joyful atmosphere. Big bright bedroom tastefully decorated. Original and well-equipped bathroom. Renowned vineyard tour nearby.

This is a find! We spent 3 nights. The charming and knowledgeable hosts certainly know how to receive guests and the property is ideally situated for visiting vineyards, and several very attractive villages. The cycle tracks start just a mile away from the front door. The accommodation both upstairs and downstairs is spacious and comfortable. We will be returning next year.

Allan gave us a warm and generous welcome and provided us with lots of useful local information which helped us to make the most of our stay. We really enjoyed our time at Préchac Park.

Beautiful place to stay near the Sauternes wine country! Huge room and incredible hospitality by Allan and Anne. Food was as great as the conversations. Pool is a wonderful experience in the heat of early Fall!

We found Prechac Park on Sawdays website, what a gem !Nicely situated and easy to find. Anne and Allan were the perfect hosts, a charming couple who could not do enough to make our stay perfect. The house is very comfortable with lots of period features. Very spacious rooms each with their own theme all add to a very relaxed atmosphere. The grounds are wonderful with the swimming pool and some interesting little corners to relax. This is the perfect place for an over night stop or even better a longer stay to get away from it all .The worst part about the stay was having to leave. Superb !

Drive through the charming gateway and you are immediately captivated by Préchac Park where Anne and Alan take hospitality to an entirely new level. Exemplary hosts and a simply beautiful home that envelopes you in a glow of comfort and complete relaxation. We cannot praise the experience of staying here highly enough,

Myself and two friends has a fantastic two night stay at Prechac Park. The house is beautiful, even moreso than in the photos and we had a gorgeous, enormous, wood panelled, light room. Anne and Allan are great people and I would recommend having dinner with them one evening, Anne is a fantastic cook and they know lots about the local area. Lots to explore in the surroundings and great restaurant recommendations - plus they lent us bikes to see the sites. A perfect stay, we’ll be back! Becca, Ellie & Lily x

We spent a wonderful week in Préchac Park. The house is very beautiful and the room superb! Anne and Allan are very attentive and warm owners. Our daughter loved the pool, and the hens 😊 The nearby villages offer lots of lovely little restaurants and there are many castles to visit in the area. Un unforgettable stay. Thank you Anne and Allan for your hospitality.

We spent 6 wonderful nights at Prechac Park. The house is beautifully decorated. The grounds offer a number of eating areas for late summer evening dinners. The pool was a great hit with all the family. Many thanks to Anne and Allan who made us feel so welcome, our own home felt strange when we came back 😀 Lots to visit and do in the Sauternes area and close to Prechac. Well worth a week's stay.

Simon, Bordeaux

We had a wonderful stay in this charming house with equally charming hosts. Fabulous breakfasts set us up each morning to explore the beautiful Gironde region. A big thank you to Anne and Alan for being so flexible with our late booking, for the very warm welcome, for the sparkling conversation and all the helpful tips and advice. We travel a lot and highly recommend Préchac Park.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Préchac Park and cannot recommend it highly enough. The property itself is wonderful and its friendly owners provide great advice as to what to visit in the region. Préchac village is well situated to explore the Gironde with its many châteaux, vineyards and churches. When not touring, the property provides all the facilities needed to relax including a large swimming pool. We will certainly stay there again.

My wife and I stayed here two weeks ago and came back today for our last night in the south west of France. The property is located in the heart of the sauterne wine growing region with some excellent restaurants in the surrounds, no further than a 15 minute drive. Our hosts Allan ( of Australian origin) and his French wife Anne were extremely helpful and of course speak English. Our room was spacious, with a couch and another room with a table and a view over the garden. Breakfast was as you expect throughout this part of France; pastries, bread, homemade jams and youghurt. Highly recommend

We stayed for three nights and had a lovely room overlooking the parkland garden. Our hosts were delightful and so helpful with interesting information about the local area. The food was superb and we loved the charming renovations. The weather was kind to us so we made good use of the swimming pool. A very peaceful and relaxing stay. We will definitely be back.
