The
Experience

Swoop through electric gates to find a modern, horseshoe-shaped, single-storey, shuttered house. The warm and friendly owners are on-hand, but you feel nicely private in your own part of the house. Inside there isn’t a thing out of place: find a sleek fitted kitchen with cool grey walls, tiled floors, a dishwasher and a table to seat 4. The open plan sitting area is fresh and modern: TV fans will be happy with free English satellite channels, comfy sofas and a coffee table. Two bedrooms (both with French doors leading to their own terraces) have deep pocket sprung mattresses, a choice of feather or synthetic pillows, beautiful embroidered bed linen; the bathroom is fresh and sparkly. The immaculate garden and big pool may tempt you to stay put, but you’re near to Pujols (officially the most picturesque village in France), bikes are yours to borrow, there’s golf at Villeneuve Sur Lot and a water park nearby. Will suit two couples or one with older children. Hippies must look elsewhere!

Reviews

After our 10 week stay we were very sad to have to leave Boutique Gite. The gite was immaculate and had the 'home from home' feel being so well equipped, spotless and very comfortable. The food on arrival was the best we have ever experienced! Carol and Andrew were very hospitable including discussing our house search with us, their knowledge of the area was very helpful. In our opinion Carol and Andrew have mastered the art of being on hand when needed whilst at the same time respecting their guests privacy. Would definitely recommend this property to those wishing to rent in this area.

Andrea, Brighton

Where to begin to describe this absolutely blissful gite? Carol and Andrew Faraday have successfully created a luxurious, beautifully decorated, fully equipped home for their guests. We were well informed throughout the inquiry and booking process so we were not surprised to find a well-managed and well-organized property. The Faradays are nearby to offer support but they are also careful to guard the guests' privacy. The gated entry, light-filled rooms, quality appliances, quiet and comfortable bedrooms, and the inviting salt water pool - Boutique Gite has raised expectations to a new level!

Judith, Eveleth

We had a fantastic stay at Carol and Andrew’s Gite. The gite is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need for a great holiday. We especially appreciated the pool and comfy beds! Carol and Andrew were amazing hosts and were extremely helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay.

Clare, Farnham

Stayed with Carol on a drive from UK to our home on Menorca. Spent best part of a month eating and drinking! March was a little early to fully appreciate the area but the fabulous accommodation and warm welcome more than made up for that! Lovely markets, great food, peace and tranquillity with terrific hosts.

Chrissy, Cheltenham

It felt like walking into an extension of our own home. There was not one thing that Carol had not thought about for her guests. There was a meal ready on arrival with the cupboards stocked with welcome supplies. Carol and Andrew are genuinely delightful hosts and were more than willing to give advice and pass on their extensive knowledge of the area. Boutique Gite France has a wonderful large heated swimming pool to relax in the peace of the garden. A perfect Gite!

Margaret, Strathblane

We enjoyed our long stay at this beautiful property immensely. The gîte is pristine and is equipped with absolutely everything required for an extremely comfortable stay. The interior décor is tasteful and the fantastic heated pool within the manicured gardens is a real treat. Carol and Andrew, the hosts, are welcoming, pleasant and super helpful - it was an absolute pleasure to holiday in this beautiful location. Truly 5-star standard in all respects.

Jennifer, Cupar

Beautiful property, lacking for nothing in practicalities or finishing touches, truly a (lovely) home from home. The heated pool was a real treat as was the welcome food on arrival. Very friendly, helpful and considerate hosts on hand when needed and kind and welcoming with the children. It was our first time trying out a Gite but Carol and Andrew are respectful of their guests's space and easy going company. Would love to return another time and enjoy the property again.

Local points of interest from Derek Boak & Fiona Quinn

  • Have a carefree wander around the local markets that are on nearly every day - you'll discover an array of cafes, bars and local crafts & produce. See our website for more details.
  • Pamper yourself in one of the nearby spas and relax.
  • Enjoy golf at the amazing 18 hole course nearby, with its spectacular views over the vast countryside. Good food and drink in the classy club house, the 19th is the best!
  • Retail therapy is not far away in Agen or Villeneuve, two beautiful old and modern towns with a bustling café culture and shops and boutiques to suit all tastes.
  • Take a relaxing self sail motor boat on the river Lot and explore the hidden areas of the Lot et Garonne that can only be enjoyed from the river. Take a picnic and some champagne and make a day of it!
  • Forget the chateaux's wine tasting, medieval villages with their displays of dance and crafts etc, and just forget about work and relax around the pool
