The
Experience

Hidden among 52 acres of sunflower fields lies a beautifully proportioned stylish, intimate hotel – and a self-catering cottage, too. Built for a baron 200 years ago, it’s been transformed by an English couple with impeccable taste into a haven of luxurious modern comfort including a heated pool, WiFi in every corner – and period style. Delicious breakfasts, light lunches and scrumptious dinners are served on fine white linen with freshly-cut garden flowers; enjoy elevated views from the terrace. Six elegant bedrooms (some air-conditioned) are large and light (the higher the lighter) with beams and great views; soft creams and whites dominate. In the bathrooms you’ll find fluffy towels and dressing gowns. Summer calls for lazing on sumptuous loungers, happy hour is between five and six, and all this can be enjoyed by self-caterers, too. In winter visit the new fitness room then cosy up by a roaring fire and enjoy a candlelit supper in the blue and white dining room. Step out for medieval town markets or music festivals, or explore the estate – tons of choice.

This is the most wonderful place to stay and is a complete triumph! Marcus and Catherine have renovated this 1700’s farm set in 50 acres tonthe very highest standard and their attention to detail is extraordinary. The bedroom was exquisite and the outside terrace so delightful fircevening beaks and breakfast. The housekeepers are amazing, taking care of your every need. When we arrived we were served champagne and canapés by the pool!!! We WILL return as Marcus and Catherine and the housekeepers are the ultimate hosts! We WILL return!!!!

Beautiful accommodation, very welcoming and friendly staff and owners, the food was excellent. Wonderful location, we had a great time and would highly recommend this property.

Meeting up with friends from Canada who were cycling through France we had an idyllic couple of days in this beautiful place. We were thoroughly spoilt in our gorgeous comfortable rooms, by the glorious weather, which meant we could sit by the deliciously warm pool and by the delightful owners and staff of Domaine de Pine who couldn't do enough for us, from supplying copious quantities of iced water (it was a hot day!), delicious wines with advice & expertise and producing scrumptious imaginative meals using local produce. The result was a very happy couple of days with old friends.

We recently spent a long weekend at Domaine de Pine. To say the accommodation and setting is idyllic is an understatement. To complement this Marcus and Cathy are excellent hosts and are very ably assisted by Ulf and Lynn. Being interested in wine myself it was a very pleasant surprise to find out that Ulf has an interest in a winery in Australia. During our stay I learnt more about wine than many other wine tasting experiences I've attended all put together. Overall an incredibly pleasant long weekend that ended way too soon. We will be back.

What an oasis of loveliness DDP was during our 2-night stay whilst driving back to the UK. Great welcome from Marcus, Cathy and Lucky the dog- aptly named to have found such lovely owners! Our huge, elegant and very comfortable bedroom was conveniently on the ground floor, with excellent shower and bath. It even had a dog bowl! We had pre-dinner drinks and canapés beside a roaring real fire, and very comfy sofas. The dining room was a perfect setting for the 5-star food with crisp linen table cloth and napkins, soft evening light and great décor. The resident sommelier was hugely knowledgeable

This was our second visit to Domaine de Pine and we enjoyed it as much as the first. We stayed in the gatekeepers cottage, which is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for your stay. The owners are incredibly friendly and can’t do enough for you. The property is in a rural setting with beautiful views and is the perfect place to relax. Great facilities, including a gym and a fabulous pool. The food and service is impeccable and we can’t wait to return.

We stayed at Domaine de Pine during July 2017 in the Gatekeepers Cottage with our 2 year old daughter. The grounds of DDP are absolutely beautiful and our little girl spent a lot of time in the swimming pool which is the perfect sun trap during the day. The owners Marcus & Cathy did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We ate at DDP most evenings and a highchair and kid friendly menu was made available for our daughter. The food was absolutely delicious with a vast range of drinks available from the bar. Thank you so much Marcus & Cathy. We will be back next Summer!

I have stayed at Domaine De Pine on number occasions overall recent years and it never disappoints and always wows me. Cathy, Marcus, Lee, Sarah and Lucky, the small dog with a big character, always make you feel welcomed and instantly relaxed to enjoy your holiday. There’s no doubt about it, DDP is a special place in a beautifully peaceful location in a stunning part of France. The property is exquisite and tastefully furnished, the views are stunning, the pool is wonderful and the outside dining area is fantastic on a summers evening. I cannot recommend DDP and the team highly enough.

We flew out to DPD last summer with our 2 year old daughter. We stayed in the Gatekeepers Cottage. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed, lots of space for our little one and Marcus also provided a travel cot and a highchair which was so useful. We ate most evenings at the house, the BBQ's on the terrace were delicious and the staff were happy to prepare alternative food for our daughter. We will most definitely be returning to DDP this summer and for many summers to come! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed two nights instead of one. We were particularly grateful for a ground floor room of huge, airy proportions. The view from the terrace is unbelievable and although it was too chilly in the evening to eat there, we could imagine how delightful al fresco dining at the Domaine would be. Cathy and Marcus charming and accommodating. Highly recommended.
