It’s the sort of place where you’ll feel completely at home. The guest bedrooms are at one end of the house and the owners live at the other so you won’t feel overlooked. Pre-dinner drinks, or lolling about at any time, happens in the guest sitting room downstairs with plenty of comfy seating and lovely views through large windows. On sunny days you’ll be on a deckchair in the garden or cooling off in the pool.
Bright and airy bedrooms (one on the ground floor, three on the first floor and one up at the top) are all a good size with en suite bathrooms and have super views. Breakfast is buffet style at individual tables: croissants, pain au chocolat, cold meats and cheeses, jams and honey. Four course dinners are home cooked from local ingredients and can be vegetarian. In summer they may have a barbecue in the garden – all is flexible and informal.
You’re in the National Park so walks and cycles from the door are sublime.
