Rolling pastures, railway line turned cycle track, famous vineyards, straight outside. Inside, romantic, well-loved, beamed and beautiful

Step into this well-loved haven for two, light the fire, choose a book and snuggle down under grand-mère's benevolent gaze: you may want to stay a year among these centuries-old stones and timbers. Climb the narrow old spiral staircase to your pale, zen-like bedroom beneath the fine roof structure - better duck under that main beam rather than leaping blindly for the bed (brand-new bedding, pretty linen). Below the window, a row of box busbies stands guard. The sober, serene old living room sits easily between its lime-washed walls, brick-red floor and pleasing family furniture: this is a loving renovation. There's a library/telly corner with its own sofa and the super fully-fitted kitchen-diner is down a few more steps. Outside, the rolling pastures, vineyards and hills waft clean country air over your little private garden and you may be tempted to walk straight out on the transformed railway line, or bicycle along it to Beaune through the most famous vineyards. There is something for everyone in the wealth of Burgundian history and culture here - and a symphony of colour in autumn.

"We did visit Le Vigneron for the 3rd time and again it was SUPER. We did enjoy all the comfort needed during this week. Wood blazing in the open fireplace on chilly evening, outdoor lunch in the (private)garden, birds singing and the church bells in the distance. Even a snooze in the Mediterranean Deck Chairs! Far away from the busy world and so near all the facilities you may need. And last but not least all questions and/or aid will be handled with a smile by Eric and/or Anne-Marie. We hope that YOU will enjoy as we did!"

"We had a fabulous week! Sun, wine, harvesting. Mrs.de Maigret gave useful information and made us feel really welcome. No noise other than birds and squirrels. A great little paradise in the heart of Burgundy! We will certainly book again and again! The walking tracks are wonderful and plenty! Thanks Anne Marie for everything!"

"My wife and I stayed at Le Vigneron for the second time this summer - and once again we enjoyed every day we spent here. Eric and Anne Marie are the most delightful hosts you could wish to have, the house offers all you could possibly expect: charm, lots of space for a couple, ample facilities, all in very good shape, a delightful little garden in which you can spend hours reading, relaxing and savouring what delicacies you bought at the local markets - based on Eric's good advice. Will we return? That's for sure!"

"True rural France. This was an excellent experience for a first-time visitor to France. We did all the things hosts Anne-Marie and Eric suggested and it was just perfect. A quaint place for an escape too! Surrounding villages have markets, bikes available in Nolay, We stayed a week and saw all the region had to offer in that time without any stress. This is an amazing place to stay, and we'll be back whenever we can get to that side of the world."
