Clos Saint Jacques

Meursault, Côte-d’Or
Bed & Breakfast

Perfect for exploring Côtes de Beaune vineyards - with advice from your hosts - perhaps by bike or from a balloon.

4 rooms

Rooms sleep 2 – 4

Wine-lovers’ heaven! In a magnificent, ancient village this 18th-century winery looks its handsome 300-year old self, but has all the right mod cons. Your engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable hosts are keen to share their local contacts; Monsieur is in the wine trade, Madame takes huge care of guests with memorable breakfasts and big, deeply comfortable beds. Lovely rooms, in the old worker’s house and cuverie, are either rustic and beamed or more brightly modern; everyone’s welcome to relax in sofas by the fire. Pilgrims bound for Santiago gathered in Meursault and the tradition of hospitality continues.

The neighbourhood

Local points of interest from Anne & Denis Duveau

  • Burgundy vineyards at the end of the street! This year we have received the Vignobles & Découvertes Quality Label, which promotes tourism specialising in wine and vineyards.
  • We have also been recognised as Ambassadors of the Climats de Bourgogne, the region’s winegrowing terroirs, included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015.
  • You will also find a choice of restaurants just 100 meters away.
  • Meursault is crossed by the way of St James.
  • A typical market every Friday morning, in the center of the village.
  • The famous French film "La Grande Vadrouille", with Bourvil and Louis de Funès, mostly took place in Meursault and Beaune.
