The
Experience
Just yards from a pretty stretch of the Burgundy Canal, a fine 18th-century house with high walls and magnificent views to perfect little Châteauneuf en Auxois. Charles and Marie-Pascale are stylish, informal and huge fun; so is their house. Fabulous antiques, interesting art and textiles, space outside for children to cavort. Bedrooms are a beautiful mix of styles with something for everyone, from grand salon to zen attic; all are delightful, bathrooms are bliss. Relax in the garden with its big lawn, colourful pots, decked pool and tennis court; have breakfast here or in the large open-plan sitting/dining room. Heaps of charm.

Marie-Pascale was wonderful to us, we blow all the lights in our room on arrival! She made us a cuppa, booked us a wonderful Bistro in the village Chateauneuf ( well worth a visit) I left my bag at the bistro - who phoned to let her know, so kind. She even helped our daughter with a remedy for car sickness. Last but not least the room was fabulous, spacious ( thank goodness as we had to accommodate another daughter at the last minute) with a wonderful bath and large soft towels. We must have been demanding guests but I will always remember Marie-Pascale's kindness.

What an amazing place! Marie-Pascale made us feel very welcome, recommended us plenty places to visit on their provided bikes and places to eat. Superb breakfast. Beautiful rooms, with plenty different nicknacks - old and new. We had a few of us staying there as we had a wedding in Creancey - the best place one could have stayed! I will go back, and recommend many to stay here.

A very beautiful place to stay with a great swimming pool, tennis courts and grounds for the children to play and roam around. ur bedroom was very generous in size and accommodated our family of 4 extremely well. Great breakfast and lovely and helpful hosts. We had dinner at L'Oree Du Bois in Chateauneuf which was fantastic and great for the children. We had a road trip to/from the South of France and this was the best place to stay and eat!

A lovely place to stay in which we were made to feel most welcome. Fabulously appointed rooms, a generous and delicious breakfast. Worth pointing out, perhaps, that the auberge opposite is always closed on Mondays (though plenty of places to eat in the next village)

We stayed here for one night on our way down to the South of France. The house and grounds were lovely and our children enjoyed the tennis court and pool. Our family room was very large and comfortable and the whole house was spotlessly clean. We wished we'd stayed for a second night, a great choice. Thank you Marie Pascale for our stay.
