Domaine de Nesvres

Bed & Breakfast

For lovers of food, wine and ancient peace – a medieval farm surrounded by fields and a great big garden full of fruit trees

5 rooms

Rooms sleep 2 – 4

There are Michelin stars in Chagny, châteaux all around and the Route des Vins beyond the door; this is a great spot for a civilised holiday. In the small village of St Désert, at the end of the private driveway, you stay on a fortified farm steeped in history and owned by a lovely French couple. Outside is vast and full of rustic charm; inside is cosy and comfy. Find billiards, books, beams, a sitting room for guests (games, music, wifi, TV), five airy bedrooms (the family room with good antiques) and Adeline’s delicious food, perhaps homemade ‘pain d’épices’ at breakfast, and poulet de Bresse at dinner.
