The Experience
Marie-Eugénie and Dominique give you light-flooded rooms in their pretty half-timbered barn which looks out over a big lawned garden. Bedrooms are comfortable with much family art; there’s an inviting, books-and-magazines salon and a slick dining-kitchen where you eat.
The cooking is legendary, changing with the seasons but always with the freshest local ingredients: roasted Bresse chicken, cheese from the rugged Jura Mountains, wines from Beaune, all served around a big shared table.
Potter around Louhans’ market and count the 157 arches of the arcaded street – the longest in France – or make day trips to Brancion’s hilltop chapel, the tiny wine producing villages around Chardonnay, Tourmus’ famous abbey or Beaune’s colourful Hospice.

A lovely, homely stay at this comfortable B&B, a short distance from the motorway...a perfect place to break up a long journey. Arrived after a 6 1/2 hour drive from Calais and upon arriving immediately felt relaxed. A very warm welcome from Marie-Euginie and great hospitality. Enjoyed a walk in the surrounding countryside, relaxed in the pretty garden and then had dinner cooked by our host in a farmhouse kitchen environment. Ate with several fellow guests which was great - food excellent!! If you stay here - eat here!!!! Would definitely recommend a stop over here for a day or two!

What a lovely place and what a great welcome from our wonderful hosts. The Ferme is set just a few minutes from the motorway - perfect if you are on a long journey south and want to break mid way. The setting is perfect - beautiful gardens, lovingly renovated farm buildings and don't miss the evening meals provided by Marie-Eugenie - She is an amazing cook. 8 Jams for breakfast weren't bad either! Rooms are well appointed, beds are comfy and the bathrooms were great with a good shower. Wifi a bit patchy and no card payments accepted though.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Marie-Eugenie and Dominic. The table d'hotes was excellent as was the breakfast. Our room was incredibly cosy, with an outstanding bathroom - we will be copying some of the features at home. Would thoroughly recommend.

Fabulous. Easy access on route South, Quirky and beautiful rooms, high standard bathrooms, tranquil setting and very warm and welcoming hosts who had gone out of their way to prepare a vegetarian feast to meet our needs. Have already recommended to friends and family and will definitely use again.

Charming hosts from start to finish. We had a lovely stay. Spotless rooms, high quality beds & linen and the most wonderful home-cooked meals and a calm oasis of a garden. Highly recommend this B&B.

A very welcoming and friendly place with great character and delightful rural surroundings. Our hosts were interested in their guests. We had wonderful meals with great cooking and our only reservation was that there was no option of a 'house' wine.

That dinner! My wife and I couldn't believe it. Four delicious courses and a wide selection of wine. Go there for the food. And the company of the hosts. And the accommodation. And the garden. And the surrounding countryside. And breakfast. Breakfast was lovely. But dinner was magic.

Location
The neighbourhood
In the tranquil, undulating countryside of deepest southern Burgundy, the house is surrounded by farmland and yet just 4km from the autoroute; it’s great as a stopover on the drive south. Just 9km away is Louhans, the capital of Bresse Burgundy, with its 15th-century Spanish buildings. Come for the Monday morning market followed by a lunch of freshwater fish from the Dombes or Charolais beef.
Local points of interest from Marie-Eugénie Dupuy
- You will be able to shine in our region rich in heritage (Beaune, Tournus, Cluny, route of the Romanesque churches ...), wine routes (Burgundy, Jura, Coast Châlonnaise, Mâconnais ...), natural sites (lakes and forests of Jura ...)

Introducing
Marie-Eugénie Dupuy
The farmhouse has been in Marie-Eugénie’s family for several generations, once belonging to her grandmother before being passed down to the ex-Parisian couple who swapped their careers in advertising for running a maison d’hôtes. Marie-Eugénie and Dominique live in the cottage next door with their elderly tabby cat – she cooks, while he pours drinks and recommends great places to visit nearby.
Due to a miss understanding on our behalf we arrived late. Our hosts could not have been more understanding. After a quick freshen up we came down to a wonderful meal of terrine, guinea fowl, cheese and clafoutis, all home cooked and delicious. We had a very comfortable stay in a beautiful room before heading off the. Txt morning. I would defiantly recommend this wonderful place to stay with fantastic hosts in lovely, welcoming surroundings.
