The Experience
You’re well away from the main road but a short walk from the village in this stone farmhouse dated 1742. B&B rooms are in various outbuildings set around a pretty courtyard with trees, shrubs and flowers: each is different but all have exposed oak beams, half-timbered walls, comfortable seats with views and fresh white embroidered cotton sheets on good thick mattresses. All have a seating area too. Breakfast is in the airy dining room, or the rambling garden – smiley Madame makes her own jams and yogurts and buys the best croissants and bread from the local artisan baker. Golf, walks, cycling and watery fun are all near.

What a wonderful place! Our room was superb and the bed exquisitely comfortable and large. Beautiful soft linen. The garden is also very pretty and the breakfast was very enjoyable with homemade yogurt and jams and freshly squeezed orange juice (or grapefruit if you prefer). We had a lovely stay. Thank you.

Our 4-night stay was just lovely - thank you very much for your attentiveness and impeccable service. You're a couple with great humour, and we'll always remember our stay. Once again, breakfast was superb. Until next time..

This place is simply gorgeous! Beautiful setting (converted small-holding); charming rooms; delightful hosts and the breakfast(s) (we stayed twice) were to die for, with artisan pastries, home- made jams and yoghurt and, freshly squeezed orange juice. Oh and don't forget to try Philipe's very own sparkling cassis! Easy distance to visit the interesting city of Troyes too. Would definitely re-book this place :-)

Domaine de la Creuse is quite simply - exquisite! Beautiful building - roses round the door and indeed everywhere. Decorated in a Provencale style - where Marie Christine is from. White linens, antique fabric curtains - breakfast includes the best croissants I've ever eaten - and I've eaten quite a few in my life! Charming hosts who recommended a Champagne house for a tasting afternoon. Gorgeous! We loved it all so much we also stayed an extra night! Do try Philip's homemade chilled sparkling cassis - delicious nectar for the soul!

What a lovely place for our stop over on our way through France. Absolutely everything has been thought of. Comfortable, pretty rooms and delicious breakfast. Marie-Christine and Philippe are fantastic hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They were so helpful when our car broke down and had to be left in France. We shall definitely be back!
