The Experience
The ethos may be that of a boutique hotel but the feel is cosy and the welcome homely all thanks to Heidi, who presses a flute of champagne upon you on arrival and offers you a whistle-stop tour… the warehouse is fascinating! Owner Didier takes over in the evenings. Upstairs, a vast sofa dominates the vaulted living room and the bedrooms are big, airy, contemporary and beautiful. Expect Italian wallpapers, retro coffee tables, wooden floors, modish colours, and the château next door peeping through the trees. A new spa awaits in the cellar; dine in the glass room overlooking the garden.

Superb room and bathroom, and exceptional breakfast. Particularly the pate en croute... and the glass of champagne! We walked to the nearby Bar à Champagne for dinner (cold plates) and were not disappointed. Tranquil and pretty village too. A very relaxing stay!
