The Experience

Appreciate the finer things in life in Emmanuel and Mark’s 1860s riverside home: gourmet cuisine, gorgeous gardens, inspired design. Polished, harmonious interiors waft with shades of mushroom, raspberry and moss, with period antiques, exquisite objets, a harp in the vast salon, a grand piano in the library. Fine china appears at four-course dinners as you chat over tender lamb cutlets with garden thyme. Rooms and suites are cosily sumptuous, views spilling over well-tended gardens of scampering roses, manicured hedges, a summer house and potager. Beyond centennial trees is a gem: Le Corbusier’s sensually spiritual chapel.

The autumnal view on Notre Dame de Ronchamp by day as by night is stunning! Everything is elegant and refined in this much loved home. Antique furniture and decorative pieces can be found throughout this tasteful family house. The stove in the corridor when you open the front door, the romantic garden all around, the warm welcoming…it's part of what makes this opulent and classical place so attractive!

Fabulous! We stayed 3 nights; Emmanuel and Mark made us so welcome - our room was spotless and comfortable and the food was wonderful. Ask about the organ in Belfort Cathedral and you may get a personal concert and tour. We would happily have stayed longer.

.We spent 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very warm welcome from Emmanuel & Mark who have made a wonderful job of restoring and refurbishing this elegant old house. Each room is beautifully furnished and brimming with collections of interesting and high quality objects. One of the best breakfasts enjoyed in our 3 weeks in France. Emmanuel and Mark should be proud of what they have achieved here. Thank you

My boyfriend and i stayed with Emmannual for one night, but we wish we had stayed for longer. Unfortunatly we had to leave the next day, but it was the most wonderful and luxurious night we had all week. We arrived late for dinner, but the restaurant reccommendation was perfect and one of our best meals while on holiday. We hope to come back soon and spend a bit more time in the area. Thank you!

Just Wonderful! A beautiful room, the whole house is immaculately decorated, and the bathroom was particuarly luxurious. Breakfast was excellent, and Emmanuel and MArc are very welcoming. We hope to return someday!
