Moulin du Meunier

Located in an idyllic setting with a huge garden area and picturesque river - great for swimming and kayaking, and for varied wildlife. Moulin du Meunier is spacious and airy, well equipped and very comfortable, and within easy striking distance of lots of places to visit. There are lots of options for eating and sitting outside, with nice shady areas for those very hot days. Steven went out of his way to ensure we had everything we wanted and there is lots of helpful information on markets and restaurants to visit. We’d be very happy to return!

The Moulin is a simply enchanting place for a rural retreat - It really is as beautiful as it looks on the photographs, and it's position right on the river is superb. Our blissful week spent exploring the surrounding countryside and taking dips in the river passed far too quickly! We left refreshed, rejuvenated and happily full of (the expected) wine and cheese. A real treat!

We spent three nights in this beautiful mill and cannot recommend it enough. Tranquil, relaxing, well equipped and luxurious - Steven provides accommodation which has all one needs to unwind and enjoy a holiday. The location is great - not too far from shops, restaurants and quaint villages. The grounds were a great space to enjoy a glass of local rose wine in the sun, whilst preparing fresh vegetables from nearby on the BBQ. The dream! The moulin is a special place and our stay there was exceptional. The house is beautifully restored and well-equipped. The sound of the river complimented by the architecture and history of the building made our stay feel magical. The location is great for market day trips to Uzes or Sommieres or for visiting Anduze, Nimes or Roman monuments close by. The owners are kind, hospitable, professional and very responsive. A memorable stay, thank you!

Having been lucky enough to stay in this beautiful location twice over the past few years with friends, I cannot recommend it enough. Days were spent kayaking down the river behind the mill, reading, walking, exploring the Saturday market in nearby Sommieres, and once we also went for dinner in Montpellier. It is very private and a fabulous place to wind down. Cannot recommend enough!
