Barbara has been here for years and leaves a generous arrival day ‘picnic’ of local goodies: cheeses, bread, salads, a casserole, wine and breakfast things for your first morning. The kitchen has ample space for whipping up meals for a big gang of you; or light up the fire pit in the garden. Come for a celebration or a creative retreat such as yoga, walking or cookery; loll about in the light-flooded living room: there are four sofas, a TV discretely tucked behind a wall hanging, piano, books galore and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace separating it from the dining room. Lushly decorated bedrooms, most en suite, await.
