Fisherman's cottage is the perfect base from which to explore Collioure - the perfect little town. Once there, you can forget about your car and enjoy being in the higgledy-piggledy old town with everything a short stroll away - ice creams, the beaches, swimming, tons of great restaurants and cafes. We had the most relaxing time doing what Heather most recommends.. nothing! The cottage is comfy and homely and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time there, not least cooking fish from neighbouring Port-Vendres and enjoying it sat outside in the lane. We will return to Collioure!

Had a fabulous week in the Fisherman's Cottage. It's fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and the location is second to none. Literally a stone's throw from the beach, perfect for an early morning swim. Everything is in easy walking distance with shops, art galleries, and a wide selection of excellent restaurants to suit every budget. Park the car and relax, you wont need it again until you leave.

Michael, Dublin

Both the cottage and Collioure are just magic. We had a truly wonderful week, and the cottage had everything we needed, and in a perfect situation, so quiet but minutes from both beaches, restaurants and shops. Little touches made it very special, as is the town, and the food in this area of France just delicious. We will be back!!

Celia, Northwich

The Cottage is a lovely little gem in a beautiful old cobbled street in Collioure. You can see and hear the sea from your bedroom. It is cozy and very well equipped. I enjoyed my stay very much!

Rita, Munich

Lovely little cottage in quaint cobbled street. Lovely fresh roses and wine on arrival and being met at train station all very nice touches. Beautiful place to stay and so close to the sea and within walking distance to everything. Special little place x Thank you so much

Janice, Scotland

Fisherman's Cottage is a delightful spot in the perfect part of this amazing town: it's within easy walking of the beautiful seafront but tucked away on a quiet, traffic-free street among the galleries. There is so much to see and do in the area, whether you're a swimmer, walker, cyclist, history enthusiast or just a lover of fine food and beautiful views. The Fete de St Vincent in August was a fantastic time for us to visit, so welcoming and buzzy. A top spot!

Dan, Southwell

Superb location, this characterful cottage for two adults is small but romantic and has all you need for the perfect stay in Collioure. Furnished and well thought out with a self contained but fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons on the ground floor. Once you get the mosquitos under control this cottage is a delight to stay in. There are stairs, so not suitable for those with disability and it would be a tight squeeze for more than two adults. We loved the property and its charm and the little items and pictures that gave it individuality and made a difference. Recommended for a special stay

Nick, Brighton

A very pretty cottage (though rather petite) perfectly situated in a pedestrianised cobbled street close to everything you will need in Collioure. Comfortable and well-equipped, obviously much loved by the owners.

Sue, London

Strategically situated in a delightful seaside village, this cottage has sea views, is a two-minute walk away from a safe beach and seafront cafes and bars. It is similarly handy to village amenities excellent restaurants and tapas bars. The cottage is delightfully furnished, and is provisioned with all the items needed for self-catering. Everything works. It is a comfortable dwelling located in a quiet coastal neighbourhood. Though small, it's on four levels, so requires some mobility, but on the other hand it would be cosy in winter. In summer, the sea breeze wafts gently in. Thumbs up-yes.

Tim, Geneva

Lovely cottage, clean and well equipped. Everything is within walking distance.

We arrived early on the Saturday morning and were met by Sue who showed us to the cottage and gave us directions to the beach and shops :). Heather organised a taxi transfer for us which we really appreciated. The cottage is perfect, we particularly enjoyed falling to sleep with the shutters open feeling a fresh sea breeze and the sounds of the calming waves. It was also a beautiful view to wake up to. It definitely helped us to relax and the location was perfect with beaches, shops and restaurants literally at the bottom of the hill. Would recommend to friends and family, a great experience.

We arrived at Fisherman’s Cottage to a wonderfully warm welcome (thanks Sue) and felt instantly relaxed. It’s fair to say that we stayed that way the entire time, lazing by the harbour and admiring the heavenly view. The cottage itself is decorated to an exceptionally high standard, perfectly compact with everything you need at your fingertips. You are influenced by the personal touch and careful hand crafted consideration given to the cottage, which has been designed to give a perfect picture frame view of the stunning seascape. A flawless stay, one to recommend and come back to.

We loved everything! The cottage is idyllic, charming, cosy and full of character. It is perfectly located in a peaceful cobbled street only minutes from the beach, cafes and restaurants. There are plenty of walks [easy and challenging], day trips into the mountains and lots of opportunities to sit and just watch the world go by. A glass of the local aperitif 'Banyuls' sitting on the harbour wall is the perfect sun downer and yes you can hear the sea in bed! Heather and Sue thank you for letting us share your special retreat. We hope to return one day. Amanda and Phil x

Amanda, Cambridge

Beautifully decorated ,well furnished with everything provided for a comfortable stay - even beach towels. Fabulous location on a quiet friendly street just two minutes from beaches and centre. Stunning view from cottage . Pity the shower room is so small - only a curtain for a door and poor ventilation, otherwise it would be excellent.

Paritosh

One of the most peaceful places we have stayed. Tastefully decorated with absolutely everything one could need. Close to the beach but only a short walk to the centre of town. Brilliant to be able to do so much yet not need the car for our 4 day stay. Thoroughly recommend

Anne

Lovely cottage for 2 perfectly placed to enjoy all the delights of Collioure.

Jenny

A perfect escape from a wet Welsh autumn. Everything we needed was either to hand in this comfortable (wonderful pillows!) cottage or just round the corner, we even practised our French in the local laundrette. A car free week and Colioure delightfully tourist free and peaceful at this time of the year. Don't count on it always being so warm though so near to November, but we enjoyed tapas by the harbour in temperatures in the mid 20's. We intend to return with family or friends, there is something for everyone here.

Carolyn

Just lovely! You wont want any more...so we couldn't recommend more!

B

We had a wonderful stay in Collioure in this adorable cottage. Our stay was very well-managed with a personal touch. The well-equipped house is ideally located to enjoy everything that this beautiful region has to offer!

Sharon

A charmant, cosy and well-equipped small house. The street is a point of interest but still quiet. You have no need for a car, everything is close by. Renting this property is a must do !Heather and Sue treat you correct and yet very personal.
