The
Experience

A cave suite! Hewn long ago into the rock beside a bell-topped presbytery, deliciously cool and light, it’s a spacious retreat. Step from private courtyard to sitting room with big fireplace and old bread oven, smart wicker chairs, red lamps, tiled floors. Burrow through to a cushioned, red-carpeted bedroom sculpted into whitewashed rock; soak in a theatrical free-standing bath. Locals and walkers, your delightful hosts serve home-laid eggs at breakfast, enjoy sharing their lovely shady garden and this intriguing town, wedged in a gully ten minutes from Tours amid the Loire’s vineyards and châteaux. Private, unique, fantastic.

Reviews

Most unusual and beautifully kitted out. Jean-Pierre and Dominique are excellent hosts and we only wish we had booked to stay longer. Their recommendation for a restaurant was excellent and we had a most enjoyable stay.

"Thumbs up" hardly does any justice! An email fault caused a double booking, which our dear hosts went far, far beyond any call of duty to solve (which involved use of their private room). That on top of finding us the best restarant places, and priceless information on river walks, and on visiting Tours. We had the troglodyte room, which was a most unusual experience in itself. Don't go for just 1 or 2 nights. Go for 4 at the very least.

We were looking for a tranquil place to stay in the Loire Valley and La Falotiere ticked all of our boxes, so we booked. The stay was magical - far better than we imagined. The hosts, Jean-Pierre and Dominique were exceptional and made the visit extra special. They gave us recommendations for day visits, vineyards and even restaurants and all were perfect. I cannot stress enough how magical La Falotiere is, and how welcoming, friendly and helpful Jean-Pierre and Dominique were. We will most certainly be back - thank you for making our stay so special!

This is a real find. The hosts are charming and friendly. The “Cave" suite is superb with a bathroom to die for. Breakfasts are very filling with good food. We had 2 nights at this lovely B & B and they were most enjoyable. Really can't thank our hosts enough. It's well worth a visit and only a 15 minute drive from Tours centre, also worth a visit. Top marks

This place is beautiful and well worth a trip! A little hard to find but when we did it was everything we expected and more. The accommodation is stunning especially the bathroom. Lovely hosts and a hug breakfast which makes it worth the money. Useful if you speak French.
