The Experience

Surrounded by rolling farmland, at the end of a quiet lane, a gorgeous old manor house in a luxuriant garden – a happy place and home. Brigitte has decorated in peaceful good taste and all is charmingly cluttered, each country antique the right one. Now the stable has been transformed into the prettiest, airiest country bedroom you have ever seen, all soft grey-blues with white linens and touches of red, and a window onto the field where the hens and horse run. It’s a joyful house where Brigitte concocts delicious dinners with vegetables from the potager and has a brocante shop in the garden. All the bedrooms are dreamy.

Les Pesques is the quintessential charming 400 year old French farm house that we all dream of calling home. The warm and friendly Brigitte treats me like an old friend even though I have only visited once prior in 2014, while I refer to Bruno as the singing chef - it was so endearing hearing him hum songs while cooking us a feast of local delicacies for dinner. And Brigitte’s breakfasts and cakes always hit the spot. I just love it here, complete with a stunning garden with the most magnificent hydrangeas, beautiful antiques and French linen. Heavenly.

Les Pesques looked wonderful on the website and it certainly lived up to expectations. As we drove up, the house with its blue shutters was covered in roses, surrounded by a lovely garden - a French idyll. Our room - Elizabeth's room was large, comfortable and prettily decorated and the bathroom was roomy with a great shower. Brigitte looked after us so well, we ate a delicious dinner there one night en famille and it was excellent. It was good to have her local knowledge as to where to visit and where to eat. We would love to return. Highly recommended.

Les Pesques and Brigitte was everything you could wish for. A taste of real France. The warm welcome, aperitif and homemade nibbles in her cottage garden was perfect at the end of a busy day. Our double room with its own lobby , shower room and private toilet was so cute and very clean. She sat down to converse with us over a sumptuous home cooked evening meal with some very good wine. We felt like we were visiting an old friend such was the relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was equally good. Sorry to leave but we will be back.

What a find! Charming Brigitte & Bruno were so welcoming. After showing us to our large, comfortable bedroom overlooking the rolling countryside, we had tea and home made cake in their gorgeous garden. Later on we joined them in their pretty dining room for a simple but delicious 5 course supper of home made rillette with a glass of a delicious aperitif; ripe melon from the local market and then a bottle of excellent red wine accompanied by duck breast (barbecued by Bruno) with home grown vegetables, a lovely cheeseboard and delicious creamy pudding. Sadly, only here for one night - we love

What a gem. We have booked for 2015. Exactly what a good French B&B should be. Just our sort of place, full of character and not overdone. Brigitte was excellent as the host and must have dinner there in 2015. Perhaps there are not too many Les Pesques left!

An old Manor House with farm buildings, quietly located, near Cazeres and convenient for the main Pau-Toulouse E80 route. It has charming productive gardens and delightful warm, dedicated hosts seeking to lead and share a slower pace of life. The welcome could not have been more so or genuine - even though our mobile phone had let us down, and we arrived unannounced late afternoon - tea and cakes were offered in the delightful gardens while she explained that she was full but could offer a room not normally available. We had traveled enough on a very hot day and were pleased to accept.

Lovely, relaxed house & garden. Brigitte's kitchen may be "cluttered" (she was making jam at the time) but our room was gorgeous, very comfortable, beautifully furnished. Brigitte is absolutely charming, very warm, helpful, happy to spend time with guests to give them all the information they need. We spent a great evening with them, simple but good home-produced food and lots of chat. Highly recommended, we hope to return.
