Honfleur, Calvados
Bed & Breakfast

Quirky juxtapositions in stylish rooms, immaculate new bathrooms, a huge lawned garden and pool. Breakfasts are generous, dinners too

3 rooms

Rooms sleep 2 - 3

Down a country lane minutes’ from Honfleur, this modern, arty, brick and timber-clad house is full of light, surrounded by an immense lawned garden with a discreet swimming pool. You sleep in great comfort in fresh, inviting rooms with huge beds and a fascinating array of artwork: watercolours, pastels, photographs, ink drawings. Bathrooms are modern and immaculate. You breakfast continental-style, and generously, with homemade jams and organic honey from the owners’ own hives. Dinner is a treat, too. The big guest sitting room is wonderfully quirky, with a mix of furniture old and new, and the Merciers themselves are delightful.

We arrived early from the morning ferry and were made completely welcome, offered coffee and breakfast. The accomodation is beautiful and the hosts (Brigitte and Phillippe) could not be more helpful.
