The Experience

The house, picturesquely timbered and behind wrought-iron gates, lies on the edge of a hamlet. The setting is rural; the large garden is delightful. Françoise and her Spanish greyhound are the friendliest hosts. The sitting room has overhead beams and the colourful, immaculate bedrooms are in the guest wing, the cosiest under the eaves. After a fine continental breakfast – brioche, homemade jams, fruit salad – served in the conservatory at flexible times, set off for Rouen, Honfleur and glamorous Deauville. Table d’hôtes is offered Monday to Friday on request – don’t miss it: Françoise is an excellent cook.

What a lovely place to stay. Francoise's home is delightful - a spotless and very comfortable room and a very pretty garden. Francoise cooked a wonderful evening meal for us and the breakfast was also very good. We would wholeheartedly recommend this as a place to stay.

Claire, Bristol

Lovely to be able to relax and anticipate Francoise's excellent cooking later in the evening. We sat outside, to the background clucking of her chickens foraging in the cottage garden, walked in the local lanes and enjoyed the comfort of our very well appointed room. Well worth the detour.

This is an exceptional B&B run by the charming Francoise who cannot do enough to ensure your stay is a success. We stayed for two nights in the extremely comfortable Clemetise room on the ground floor, looking out on the delightful gardens. Peace and tranquillity reign here. Francoise is an excellent cook and the dinners and breakfasts were superb - all home-made food with dishes from the region. Also there is the benefit of a cuddle from her beautiful Spanish greyhound. We will definitely return!

I can wholeheartedly recommend Francoise’s lovely home. She gave us a warm welcome on a cold, wet evening. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable - my husband and I slept very well, and the modern ensuite shower room had everything we needed. Based on the previous reviews, we booked our evening meal with Françoise, and what a great decision that was! I highly recommend that you do so - plentiful, fresh and tasty food. If we were staying more than one night, I wouldn’t hesitate to book dinner every night! We look forward to staying with Françoise again.

Carole, Atlanta

It was a short, but very pleasant stay. The room was nice. So was the room where we had dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately there was only few time left to spend in the garden. We recommend strongly to have dinner there. The 4-course-meal was excellent and so was the wine. worth every cent! The abbeys of Le Bec Helloin and Jumièges are not far, so is the town of Pont Audemer. We would have liked to stay longer.

This is everything you would want from a bed and breakfast in rural France and more. Charming host, beautiful and comfortable room and amazing dinner and breakfast. Just perfect. If you are staying make sure you take the dinner option as the food is a treat and excellent value.

Lovely accommodation. Lovely people. Excellent food and comfort. Would be hard to improve on. 10 out of 10. Will recommend it to all our friends.

We received a very warm welcome and had a really delicious meal with Jean-Pierre and Francoise. Memorable stay!

We arrived here on Good Friday, my birthday and had the warmest welcome imaginable. We too chose our room(downstairs but only to save carrying the suitcase up). Both were beautiful. Francoise prepared the most amazing dinner and we all celebrated my birthday in style. Both were great fun and very good company (as was the dog!). We were going to Brittany and this is a brilliant stopping off point on the way South/East. We'll certainly go back.

A lovely overnight stop on our way south.Very welcoming hosts and superb meals and we can thoroughly recommend

What a find!! Tucked away only 20 minutes from Rouen we were given a warm welcome and choice of 2 rooms, both beautifully equipped, lacking for nothing. Dinner was sensational. After aperitifs Françoise presented us with a 6 course dinner, each course was delicious and beautifully presented, all served with red and white wines. Breakfast too consisted of fresh fruit, fresh juice, croissants etc. with home made jams and milk jam, made locally. Really hope we can return and meet up again with Jean-Pierre and Françoise who really spoilt us.
