Manoir de Bellauney

Tamerville, Manche
Bed & Breakfast

A wonderful antique-filled house shared enthusiastically by ex-farmer hosts. Sheer comfort among warm old stones

4 rooms

Rooms sleep 2 – 3

Even the smallest bathroom oozes atmosphere through its œil de bœuf. The youngest piece of this fascinating and venerably ancient house is over 400 years old; its predecessor stood on the site of a monastery, the fireplace in the lovely Medieval bedroom carries the coat of arms of the original owners. To furnish the rooms, your ex-farmer hosts hunted out carved armoires de mariage, lace canopies, footstools – and hung tapestry curtains at the windows. They share their energy enthusiastically between this wonderful house, its small dense garden, and their guests. Sheer comfort among warm old stones.

Wonderfully comfortable and delightfully furnished, even the least expensive room is lovely. Madame is charming and helpful. Our breakfast was excellent. Easy to find as well.
