A choice of traditionally decorated rooms, interesting art, stupendous gardens; a medieval revival on the St Michel pilgrim route

5 rooms

Rooms sleep 2 – 3

An atmospheric time warp for the night on the St Michel pilgrim route: traditional décor in the timbered 14th-century monks’ storeroom with tapestry wall covering and antiques, or the old dairy, or a converted stable; a huge 15th-century cider press for breakfast in the company of the Ulrichs’ interesting choice of art; a chapel for yet more art, a tithe barn in magnificent condition for fabulous receptions, perfectly stupendous gardens, a sort of medieval revival. Your hosts are totally devoted to their fabulous domain and its listed buildings and happy to share it with guests who appreciate its historical value.

A luxurious priory If you want to stay in one of the most beautiful areas of Normandy, with rolling rural countryside of small hills and valleys, you should stay at Le Prieuré St. Michel. Dating from the 13th Century, the priory has been superbly renovated, enhancing all its historic features and providing the ultimate in modern comfort. It is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in. The double rooms are large and decorated with impeccable taste! Jean Pierre and Viviane Ulrich were ideal hosts and made us feel extremely welcome – thank you for a wonderful stay.
