The Experience

Down a tree-lined drive between tailored lawns you approach this 18th-century mansion built on castle foundations, now a family-run guest château but run more in the spirit of a B&B. The river Oise slides gently by. There are ten lawned, tree’d and statued acres here and, at the back, a brick-walled belvedere terrace with soaring views over woodland, untamed countryside and river. Inside, wander at will between a gracefully decorated dining room, breakfast room and library, and a sitting room with gorgeous soft sofas. Up the spiral oak staircase are the bedrooms, classically decorated, some with more of those views. Strong colours with floral fabrics stand out against striped or patterned fabric walls; smart bathrooms have jacuzzi baths; clusters of antique bottles on the window ledges and an antique hobby horse add whimsical touches to a formal décor. Jedy and Damien have professional backgrounds in hospitality so they welcome you warmly and look after you beautifully – do let them know ahead if you want to have dinner on the first night. Don’t miss the fortified churches and great Gothic cathedrals.

Reviews

Everything about Domaine Le Parc is superb. Our evening meal was outstanding, the room was very comfortable and the grounds beautiful. Don’t hesitate to book. We hope we will be able to visit again very soon.

Matthew, Stratford upon Avon

great location, beautiful building and rooms, excellent dinner and breakfast, great hosts - perfect location for a stop-over from the UK to the continent or as a last stop on the way back to the UK - only 2hrs from Calais

Roel, Lincolnshire, UK

It was a real pleasure to return to a warm welcome at Le Parc with its large and comfortable bedroom, huge and well equipped bathroom and a delicious dinner. Within reasonably easy reach of Calais and not far from Reims, its lovely setting, secluded from the workaday town of Danizy is very well placed. Having never stayed more than one night, we enjoyed this overnight stay so much, we are considering spending a little longer if the opportunity arises on another occasion.

Peter, York

This is a wonderful house above the river Oise with very comfortable rooms and large well equipped bathrooms. The grounds and the locality have a history to tell of World War One and the terrace has beautiful views over the river. Jedy and Damien are very welcoming hosts and the dinner [cooked by Damien] is superb. It is all very professional.

Sarah, Wales

What an amazing house with beautiful grounds full of lovely sculptures. The hosts were lovely, their little dog very cute, and the room really gorgeous with amazing views. The dinner was excellent from start to finish accompanied by great wine. A lovely place to stay before retuning home.

Catherine, Ware

Very convenient bed and breakfast We received a great welcome from Jedy and Damien. The room was large, clean and nice decorate. We enjoy also a lovely meal in the dinning room with great wine. It's our first visit but we will come back soon. Thank you

Chris, London, UK

This is now our 4th visit . Jedy and Damien are the perfect hosts. The rooms extremely comfortable and the food wonderful . The views from the bedrooms across the lakes behind the Domaine are stunning especially in the evening light. It is so notable that many guests we have met here are repeat visitors from France ,Belgium, Netherlands and the UK and that says it all. Only about 10 mins from the motorway and 2 hours from the tunnel. My only wish , but understand the reasons, that though they love dogs, they are not allowed in the property itself.

Michael, Blandford, Dorset

Our second visit here and once again delighted. Jedy and Damien are such lovely hosts, he an extremely talent cook and Jedy runs a perfect front of house. Very comfortable. Lovely rooms, beautiful views across the lakes behind the property and such a wonderful welcome. It says it all that the Chambre d’hôte was full and of returning guests, several who have stayed here when the Domaine was run by Jedy’s parents. I just wish they accepted dogs but can understand that access to the bedrooms up the beautiful but wooden staircase might be an issue and not all dogs are well behaved!

Michael, Blandford ,Dorset

We had a delightful stay. It's only one hour and half from Eurotunnel. The room is beautifully decorated. The evening meal was outstanding with a nice Menu and wines. The two owners are very friendly. We definitively come back on our next trip in France.

John, Oxford

Jedi and Damien make you so welcome to their stately home and beautiful grounds. Convenient for first/last night in France or local touring. Dinner high quality and imaginative. Our room as well equipped as any top of range hotel. If you want something different this is it.

Richard, ST. ALBANS

A lovely tranquil place to stay. Very comfortable room, brilliant bathroom. Lovely welcoming hosts. Excellent food. We really didn't want to leave!

Yvonne, Bristol

We stayed in Domaine Le Parc during a long weekend. We were treated like king and queen by Jedy as well as Damien. They are very friendly and hospitable. The Domaine is fantastic, the rooms, the salons, the parc, the surrounding. All beautifull and attractive. The dinners very tastefull; Damien is a creative chef and the breakfasts were perfect. Jedy and Damien: thank you for your receive with open arms! We will be back for sure.

Joop, Boxtel

It would be difficult to find enough superlatives to adequately describe Domaine le Parc. We chose it for an overnight stop on our way to join family for a canal holiday south of Dijon. From the moment we entered the imposing gateway, we were bowled over by the garden, imposing house and views. Everything was perfect - a friendly welcome from Jedy and Damien, the exquisite décor including original 1930s wallpaper and soft furnishings, our luxurious bedroom with palatial en-suite and by no means least, the delicious evening meal, wine and breakfast expertly served. Thank you Jedy and Damien.

John/Carol, Whitburn, Tyne and Wear

Beautiful place inside and out. Fabulous room with huge bathroom. Warm welcome from friendly and very hard working hosts. Good food. Amazing value for money.

Sue, Nottingham

We had a very pleasant stay in a beautiful, quiet setting over looking the lake. The bedroom, which overlooked the front garden, was the biggest we have ever stayed in and comprised of three large rooms with a huge bathroom! The food was excellent, worthy of a top chef - and the breakfast was good value for money. The hosts were charming and made our stay memorable. We would definitely stay here again.

Kathryn

An oasis of luxury close to the autoroute. Very tastefully furnished, and decorated for Xmas, great room and lovely food, capped by a warm welcome.

Tony
