The
Experience

These two eclectically-furnished studio apartments have independent entrances and fully equipped kitchens, but Christopher and Jacqui – who look after B&B guests in the main house – are on hand if you need anything.

Find a welcome basket of coffee, tea, milk and wine. In the garden you’ll find table tennis, croquet and a whole shed of toys for the children, a heated pool with sun loungers and a barbecue for al fresco dining. Although you’re in the centre of a busy town there’s hardly any noise from the road so it’s peaceful.

Amble into the village and the bar/tabac for fresh bread, head to Châtelaillon-Plage for sandy beaches, sailing and windsurfing or to upmarket Île de Ré for quiet beaches, cycle paths and charming harbourside cafes. La Rochelle airport is only 15 minutes’ drive.
