The Experience

You swoop up a magnificent tree-lined drive to find total peace and quiet in the extensive, manicured grounds. As well as the glorious main house there is a little one-bedroom cottage and also a treehouse in the woods – wonderful for fun, cosy nights in. The living room and library are spacious, with light flooding in through large glass doors, the dining table is enormous and you can use the professional-looking kitchen or ask for a chef. There’s a barbecue outside, and the welcome hamper includes olive oil, tapenades, honey and fruit.

Float in the infinity pool, play tennis, pétanque or table tennis (all the gear is here), paddle board in the lake (boards provided) and use the fitness room. You can hire fitness coaches, yoga teachers and tennis experts – just ask your concierge.

Wander or cycle through 25 beautiful acres with plenty of seating and a cacophony of birdsong. Retreat to the outdoor cinema for a film, retire to sumptuous bedrooms.

If you're looking for ultimate luxury and privacy in a beautiful old country house of contemporary style, then look no further. Set in the countryside with a 25 acre garden, private lake and every possible facility. Gloriously peaceful and beautifully landscaped. However such luxury comes with a high price tag. Being close to St-Remy-de-Provence you are in the heart of iconic inland Provence.

The neighbourhood

There are walking and biking trails from the house, but you need to drive to the nearest restaurants in Saint-Etienne-du-Grès, 3kms. St-Rémy-de-Provence, 6kms, has an abundance of restaurants. Highlights of the area are the Roman site of Glanum which has an outstanding collection of architectural relics, and the light and sound event at the Carrières de Lumières featuring different artists each year.

Louis Pierre

The house is managed, and you are greeted, by Louis, a young and extremely efficient Frenchman who speaks perfect English and is used to looking after guests. He was head concierge at a local Michelin-starred hotel and has been in the hospitality business for a decade. He may sometimes be accompanied by his Australian collie dog, Peanut.
