Sophie warmly welcomed us to La Buissanne which offers very peaceful and relaxing accommodation. Our room was immaculately clean with a comfortable bed, a fantastic shower with superb Provencal soaps and a small terrace where we enjoyed a ‘picnic’ supper in the evening. Sophie’s breakfasts are delicious and served on the terrace overlooking the garden. We enjoyed swimming in the pool after a day’s sightseeing and playing petanque in the evening. Sophie is an excellent host; friendly, accommodating and organised she provides very useful information about the local area and current events.

Sophie is a charming host and La Bruissanne is a perfect spot, a short drive to Aix, yet in a very quiet area. The room was spotless and very well appointed with comfy bed and super shower. Sophie provides towels for the lovely pool as well. We had a lovely sitting out area and the outdoor kitchen was a great plus so we were able to bring food back from Aix market for a simple dinner. I have to mention the kindness of Sophie and her husband who gave us a lift to a restaurant and back on our first night rather than arranging a taxi. Lastly, breakfast was superb as was the whole stay.

We had a wonderful stay at La Bruisanne - our rooms were beautiful and spotless with enormous attention to detail. The breakfast was really fabulous on the terrace overlooking the mountains, and Sophie was a very kind host full of information about the area: her restaurant recommendations were brilliant as were her suggestions for how to spend our days. Lovely pool! I hope we can return before too long.

Anita, London

La Bruissanne is a delight – immaculate house and grounds (with pool), beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast on the terrace, the finest of soaps and shampoos. It lies just a five minute drive from Aix (a delight with its little streets, grand boulevards, galleries and museums) on the road to Cezanne's Mont Sainte Victoire. And then there is Sophie, the most welcoming, friendly and helpful hostess imaginable. Her helpful suggestions, directions and care made our stay the highlight of our Provencal break. We loved everything about La Bruissanne.

Scott, Edinburgh

We loved La Bruissane- the peace and tranquillity- no radio or television and little internet access- bliss! We stayed for 4 nights and every day Sophie gave us great ideas on where to go and what to see. She looked after us as if in a 5 star hotel and yet it is like staying at a friends house. We had the pool to ourselves, ( no-one else wanted to swim in September! ) the room was immaculate and pretty. The outside space is a boon and sitting in the evening with our drinks looking out onto the beautiful garden after a busy day was enchanting.

My wife & I spent two nights at La B & could not recommend it more highly. In a beautiful setting close to Aix & with a pool which was very refreshing after a day exploring the town. We stayed in Fanny & enjoyed having our private patio & eating space. Sophie a delightful hostess and very helpful on our first visit to Aix. We enjoyed a memorable visit to the new Caumont Art Centre thanks to her. By the way, she also serves superb breakfasts! We'll be back!

Stayed 4 nights with my daughter. A beautiful place, 3 private apartments set amid trees and roses with a stroll down to a lovely pool and up to a very competitive (uneven) petanque court. Birdsong in the morning, bats in the evenings. Every detail exquisitely designed. Sophie is charming, French but speaks perfect English: she keeps everything unobtrusively immaculate. Our apartment, Cesar, was the smallest, but delightful terrace where we tate our own food from Aix markets - 5 minutes by car to Aix but too far to walk and no nearby restaurant. No hardship though! Breakfast delish.

Quite possibly the best B&B we have stayed at anywhere in the world. Sophie is the perfect host. We felt like guests in a private villa, with stunning wooded hill views, a beautiful pool, complete peace and seclusion close to Aix, great breakfasts on the terrace and Sophie's terrific recommendations for days out and places to eat. The day kitchen for guests' use is a real bonus.

Excellent stay. Lovely accommodation sparkling pool, good quality breakfasts and charming attentive owner who was thoroughly helpful. Will definitely stay again.
