Gorgeous snowy panoramas, a private chef if you’d like one, and in-house childcare for babies, toddlers and young children enabling you to ski all day. This charming old farmhouse, with its rustic walls and vaulted ceilings, is home to two big apartments. There are cheerful covers on pale wood beds, cotton rugs on tiled floors, jolly towels in shining showers, lightness, comfort and joy. The cupboards spill novels and games, there are cots and high chairs for the asking, the Chantemerle cable car is a two-minute drive and Pippa will child-sit when you’d like a night out. Raised in Australia, she has that charming, relaxed manner you would expect and makes a stay here memorable. She and her daughter have a deep love for the outdoor life, especially skiing, boarding and tobogganing… many of the runs here are lined with trees and the whole place is perfect for families. Pippa buys local produce for the welcome pack and is totally involved with village life. There are heated floors for cosiness, a drying room for ski gear and a regular free local shuttle up and down the valley. Brilliant value.
