Bed & Breakfast

A charming and knowledgeable host, a beautifully converted barn, hilltop villages and history all around: what more could you want?

Rooms sleep 2

History and art buffs couldn’t hope for a more gracious or cultured host or a better converted barn – formerly housing cows and farm tools, its swimming pool has been adapted from a basin once used to water the cows and field. Your warm and delicately decorated bedroom looks over the garden to distant hills from a house full of antiques, original paintings and signs of world travels. Denise and her late husband lived in many places and she talks perceptively about them and their treasures over breakfast of fresh fruit, local patisseries and jams – and cheeses if you like. But tear yourselves away, there’s so much to do and see: climb, hike, glide, visit mediaeval marvels… Remarkable value.

We loved this place, beautiful room and good shower( not ensuite but individual use in a quiet house, no other guests) generous breakfasts with freshly collected wide variety of bakery goods, and we were offered tto take any left if we could use them. The pool is excellent, and very easy access for those like myself who need to be careful. it is hard to find, and the owner came to collect us from the centre. The fire station is a good place to aim for.
