The
Experience

Feel Parisian here with Sylvie and her husband. Enter the large limestone building and up the spiral staircase (or the tiny lift) to the third floor. Relax and chat in the modern-feeling large kitchen/living area, eat breakfast at a time to suit you, order dinner too – Sylvie is a grand cook. Bedrooms are all off the guest corridor: expect marble fireplaces, shelves filled with books, large mirrors, new mattresses and floor to ceiling windows with views to the quiet street. You’re within walking distance of the tourist traps, super restaurants and shops, museums, galleries and the wide open spaces of the Bois de Boulogne.

The previous comments summarize the best aspects of a stay at Rue Copernic, we spent 5 nights and felt almost as part of the family. Generous and hospitable, the warmest welcome, highly recommend.

We had just 24 hours in Paris and Sylvie and Bertrand, as elegant and charming as their apartment, helped us to make the most of our short stay. Their advice for a local restaurant was invaluable, the welcome was warm and genuine, and the very comfortable bed and facilities made for a perfect stay. We will hope to visit you again one day, or maybe even see you here in the Alps! Best wishes, Pippa & Becky

Charming hosts, lovely apartment and centrally located. Ideal for sightseeing and access for the metro and bus is excellent. Very good restaurants nearby. we were provided with maps and useful tips as well as places to visit - a real 'find'.

Excellent place to stay with very hospitable hosts and deliciously large breakfast. Accommodation is spacious, comfortable and warm in winter. Good places to eat in the nearby Place Victor Hugo. Highly recommended.

One of the loveliest spots in Paris to spend a couple of nights. A beautiful, elegant apartment, in a quiet and stylish corner of the city, with a delightfully spacious bedroom (and bathroom), with one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in for years. In fact, it was almost impossible to get up in the morning - despite the inviting smells of coffee and hot croissants wafting down the corridor... Best of all, Sylvie, a charming and fascinating hostess, for whom nothing was too much trouble: a well-researched restaurant booking, and lifts to wherever we needed to go... Highly recommend.

I very much enjoyed my 2-day stay at Copernic. The family apartment is very centrally located but on a quiet street; Sylvie and her husband are excellent hosts, and were kind, friendly and helpful at all times. I would certainly recommend this B&B for anyone looking for a calm, sheltered place to stay in Paris.

The neighbourhood

Local points of interest from Sylvie Petit

  • This apartment is located in a former town house built and owned by an aristocratic family in 1850. It is very spacious with high ceilings, fireplaces, mouldings , and antique furniture. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and family room are generously sized.
  • Because we lived 10 years in the States, we speak English fluently. . The twin bedroom actually has 3 beds, and contains some of our grandchildren’s toys and games. We can usually provide babysitting on request.
  • The guest corridor is all yours, as we will not have other guests while you stay with us. Born and raised in Paris, we can give you many tips and insightful information about the city . There are many famous restaurants nearby.
  • The neighbourhood is residential, with shopping Avenue Victor Hugo just around the corner. The Champs Elysées, River Seine, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the large Bois de Boulogne park with running and rowing facilities are within easy walking distance.
  • You have an excellent patisserie on the corner of our street. The Marché de l'Alma is an open-air market held every Wednesday and Saturday, just 10 min from the apartment.
  • We can provide a private parking space for you if required. We can also organize a game of golf at “Saint-Cloud Golf Club" for those of you wishing to enjoy the unique experience of aiming towards the Eiffel Tower!
