Bed & Breakfast

A little gem in the centre of Paris and run by an enthusiastic owner - she and her daughter love the contact their guests bring. Charming

2 rooms

Rooms sleep 2 – 4

At the end of the street are the Seine and the glory of Notre Dame. In a grand old building (with a new lift by the 17th-century stairs), the two unaffected rooms, one above the other, look down to a little garden. The mezzanined family room has its bathroom off the landing; a simple breakfast of shop-packed items is laid here. Upstairs is the smaller room: bed in the corner, timeworn shower room and your own entrance. Madame is polyglot, active and eager to help when she is available; she leaves breakfast ready if she has to go out. She appreciates the variety of contact guests bring. A gem in the heart of Paris.

This was a great place to stay. It is so convenient to the sites of Paris around Notre Dame and the Latin District. The owner was delightful and was most helpful in so many ways to maneuver the public transportation and a wealth of information of things to do. If I return to Paris again, I hope to book the same location!

A gem of place! 9th visit to Paris and the first time we have found the perfect place to stay - a truly authentic Parisian apartment. We woke on the Sunday morning to the sound of the Notre Dame bells less than 3 minutes walk away. We all adored our host Brigitte who was so happy to provide us with recommendations and information. Breakfast was simple but just what we wanted to start our days. We absolutely loved it and will DEFINITELY be returning! Thank you Brigitte for sharing your home x

Centrally located, quiet, reasonably priced, and with an elevator, you can't ask for anything more. Brigitte Chatignoux was a wonderful hostess, helpful with ideas of things to see and providing resources such as books, maps and brochures. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful two night stay in the smaller of Brigitte's two rooms. It suited us perfectly and we loved it! It is incredibly well located, and Brigitte welcomed us warmly, with loads of information about the local area. The room is compact but perfect, with a charming view out into a lovely courtyard. Even though it was a busy warm weekend, we heard only birdsong in the morning, and exited onto a quiet shaded street to start our day. Brilliant! We can't wait to return. Thank you, Brigitte!

A fabulous few days staying in Brigitte’s quiet but perfectly located apartment. Plenty of space for a family of 4 and breakfast every day was welcome and varied. Brigitte gave us little hints and tips, from a newly refurbished church to visit to the local market. Felt like we were very much at home and would certainly rebook or recommend. Merci Brigitte.

Hi Mrs Chatignoux, on behalf of my family and myself we would like to say thank you, we had a very good time in Paris and part of this wonderful vacation was you, thanks for the tips about transportation and many thanks for your kindness. We experienced first hand Parisienne hospitality and we are going to save that in our hearts for the rest of our life.

Mosquera family

The apartment is perfectly located and has everything you need. It`s snug, cosy and provided us with a glimpse into living life as a Parisian. Our host was warm, friendly and charming, and provided us lots of local information. We felt completely at home and it was always a pleasure to chat. Breakfast was a selection of breads and condiments, with fruit, yoghurt and tea/coffee. There are many shops and restaurants nearby and despite its` very central position only moments away from Notre Dame, it is a quiet and relaxing place to stay. St Michel station is just a few minutes walk away.

Garry, Southampton

We spent 3 excellent nights in Notre Dame. It is really well located, close to the cathedral, the RER and the metro. Very easy access from Charles de Gaulle. We stayed in the blue room and really enjoyed the ambience of this perfect Parisian apartment. Brigitte is a lovely lady, happy to chat and provide lots of useful information about the surrounding area and life in Paris. Thank you Brigitte.

Judith, Belfast

We had a fantastic stay. The host was very helpful always happy to answer questions and offer suggestions on places to go/eat. Accommodation was great, good breakfast and fantastic location. I will be staying here again!

Isaac, London

We had a delightful three nights here staying with our grandson. Brigitte welcomed us and we immediately felt at home. She was full of ideas and advice on what we could do. We could walk to most of the places we wanted to see and the metro was just around the corner. We enjoyed wandering round the local streets visiting the food shops and the local restaurants. We're looking forward to coming back next year with the next grandchild.

Louise, London

We stayed in the Red Room for 2 nights – it was clean and cosy – a small oasis in the centre of Paris, tucked away off a side street and overlooking a quiet courtyard. The Seine and Notre Dame are literally round the corner and there are many excellent galleries, shops, cafes and bars nearby. Brigitte is a warm and welcoming host – we had a delightful stay, it was a truly authentic Parisian experience!

Emma, Oxford

This was the perfect place for our two night stay in Paris during the summer holidays. The mezzanined room was ideal for the four of us, and it was very peaceful even though we were right in the centre of Paris. Brigitte looked after us really well, and there were loads of useful leaflets and maps. We'd definitely stay there again.

Thankyou Brigitte for the most wonderful stay. You made us feel welcome, comfortable and offered ideas and visits to enhance our stay. We could not have asked for a more idyllic location and your home and its views are well kept and beautiful! We hope to stay again on our next trip to Paris

We had 2 rooms booked and enjoyed it very much! Its in a quiet cobble-stoned street very near to Notre Dame, so very central and it overlooks a tranquil and sweet backcourt. The beds are very comfortable and there is free Wifi. The owner is very helpful and kind and gave us useful tips. It is possible to book only 1 room for 4 people or 2 rooms for 6 people altogether. Its a lovely ambiance and I would stay there again.

An excellent place to stay. I would highly recommend it. Right in the heart of Paris yet really quiet. The family room is perfect with your own dining room adjoining so there's room to play board games in the evening if you're travelling with children and don't want to stay out late. Madame Chatignoux is the perfect host offering helpful advice on where to go and how to get there. We will definitely stay again.

A very comfortable, cosy hideaway in the heart of Paris. It was a perfect base for a family of four for a weekend in Paris. The beds were warm and comfortable, the breakfast plentiful and Mme Chatignoux was so kind and thoughtful. Just delightful.

Charming place in a perfect central location. Sweet hostess willing to provide all info to make my stay even better.I really enjoyed the central location and being able to walk to the MArais across the ILe St Louis. I was there in winter and the place was lovely and cosy warm. Would go back ! Very quiet in the middle of the city !

A calm quiet flat just across the seine from Notre Dame, the entrance and old tiled stairway quite magical. We had a lovely two nights chez madame chatignoux.

Fantastic location, just opposite Notre-Dame, on the Rive Gauche! The room is basic but very clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. We haven't had the pleasure of meeting the landlady, but she has been very efficient in dealing with the booking and in providing us with the information needed. Great value for money.

This is a little gem in the centre of Paris - we had a very warm welcome from the owner and loved our stay. The family room has a charming mezzanine floor where the children had a secret hideaway. The room, bathroom and breakfast room are clean and welcoming and the breakfast very tasty. Notre Dame and the Seine are literally at the end of the road and the whole of Paris is at your feet. Would definitely recommend.
