The Experience

Sara Jane and Jimmy run a ski chalet from their renovated farmhouse and have converted this 18th-century barn into a super two-bedroom apartment. Wine, cider and eau de vie were once made here and the original features have been kept.

Opt for self-catering or join the chalet guests for all meals in winter and B&B in summer – tea or coffee delivered to your door in the morning, afternoon tea and cakes, four-course dinners with wine, coffee and chocolates. Sara Jane loves to cook, and you’ll eat together around a long table next to a log fire in the dining room or on the outside deck in summer.

The Grand Massif is the highest ski area in the Haute Savoie, and Jimmy will take you to ski lifts and fetch you afterwards. In summer, you can hike and mountain bike in the mountains and swim in the pool; in winter, unwind in the jacuzzi.

Reviews

I loved the cosy first floor sitting room of La Grange 1767. What could be better than a warm welcome from Sara Jane and Jimmy, delicious meals at the convivial chalet table, then relaxing in front of the log burner looking out on the most stunning view. A perfect mountain holiday location!

Introducing

Sara Jane Coleman

Sara Jane and Jimmy live with their children in an apartment at the top of Chalet Isabella. They first fell in love with the Alps in Austria where they worked as ski instructors for over ten years before moving to France in 2004. They are genuinely passionate about the mountains, their chalet, cooking and giving their guests a great time. They have renovated the farmhouse, Chalet Isabella from top to bottom between seasons, creating a warm and relaxing alpine retreat, and also found the time to renovate the barn, originally built around 1767, into the bijoux two-bedroom chalet, La Grange 1767.
