Lovely to wake up with views of the mountains from our bedroom. Enjoyed relaxing on the terrace after a hot day exploring the surrounding countryside, mountains and of course the picturesque lake. Good barbecue and a large table with parasol on which to enjoy your feast! Good restaurant within walking distance of the house (need to book)Annie, the host, is delightful and has a good knowledge of the region.

We stayed in this delightful house with two families - from toddlers to teenagers and it worked perfectly. It has the serenity of the countryside, while not far from the charm of Annecy's old town, a boat trip on the lake and a visit to a castle. The housekeeper and local tradesman were extra-helpful which really gave us a taste of Haute Savoie hospitality.

We stayed at the house while cycling around Annecy in July. We enjoyed the quiet of the village just a pleasant cycle trip away from Annecy, great views from the balcony and friendly support from the owner Sue and her housekeeper. The hand-over and checking out was smooth and the friendly housekeeper even transported us with bikes to the bus station when we left.

We stayed with our two boys. They loved the garden and the mystical valley in the back. The house is ordered and cosy with beautiful views. Sue was particularly helpful with suggestions and advice. We visited Chamonix and spent a lovely time in Annecy.

Our group of eight friends are regular visitors to this lovely house, in an unbeatable location if you like hiking or skiing in the Alps and the most beautiful of lakes for swimming, sailing and cycling around. We’ve been at different times of the year and can really recommend taking a walking trip in spring/early summer when the flowers and mountain scenery are out of this world. Everything is easy to get to from Promery village - Annecy’s fabulous old town and the lake beaches are less than 15 minutes drive and you can be in the mountains in no time. We’ve love La Maison de Promery!!

Loved this place! Very clean and well equipped , it's a traditional pretty chalet that has been beautifully refurbished. Stayed here last August to coincide with the Lake Festival which was amazing - stunning firework display synchonized to music. Location was ideal, loads to see and do all within an hours drive or less. Will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely time in this large, detached chalet on the outskirts of Annecy; it certainly felt like home away from home. We had the most glorious weather making walking, swimming in the lake and just living wonderful. We really enjoyed the spacious feel to the house, which gave everyone some solitude when needed. We relished the early mornings on the sunny terrace, followed by breakfast in the garden. The mountain view was stunning. My 10 year old daughter enjoyed buying bread and croissants at the handy Tabac and we had a delicious meal at the local restaurant. We would love to return!
