The
Experience

Rooms are named after painters; lovely ‘Cézanne’ lies under the eaves on the top floor. Nathalie, warm, bright and amusing, and attentive Pascal welcome you to their farmhouse, guide you up the outside stairs to colourful, comfortable bedrooms and spotless shower rooms (a sauna, too) and treat you to some of the best home cooking in France, served at a long table; even the brioche is homemade. The garden overflows with grass and trees, crickets chirrup, the Bernese Mountain dog bounds, the donkeys graze and the exuberant courtyard is a safe space for your children to join theirs. Wonderful, informal B&B.

Reviews

Nathalie and Pascal Deroit. A very peaceful place, their two boys grown up now. The Bernese Mountain dog died last February, but the donkeys still hold sway. Excellent English from Nathalie and a fabulous cook. Big garden to take an early aperitif, with her. 10/10

Martin

You do wonder where you are when you first arrive at Le Traversoud. It's very rural! However - we really enjoyed out stopover there. The room was spacious, homely and relaxing. The evening meal was absolutely fantastic - home cooking at its best and amazing value for money. The host was very welcoming and we enjoyed a long post dinner conversation with her.
